From my understanding A's are two wheels fused together whereas B's rear wheels have a slight seperation.

If there fused together why not just have one large wheel, Although two wheels could be used to reduce the turning circle of the vehicle if they can move independently...which I think they can.

Both wheels can move independently on both set ups.... the second one though is for the controls to be physically linked to the engine... rather than them operating with a signal to and from the controls and the engine

It looks like a survey scout, and for some reason im getting feels of forbidden planet...its that retro! I do have to get the line in about the kinky boots though!!

If I was going to enter this challenge I would take my insperation from the CGI captain scarlet series, I know I'm 25 years old and that was a kid show out a couple of years ago but i did pop my head into it for old times sake.
...some great ideas to be plucked!
