The idea is that the legs extend while in that mode or the recon mode so that the ship is still rather stealthy. Its has a hanger in the nose section to hold a vehicle that can be deployed on a planet or moon and then the ship can leave undetected.

Those landing legs took lots of pens and a little use of the old calculator to plan how they would retract.

very nice Merlin.....I spent a few hours debating whether or not to include Landing gear on my ship....In the end i've decided not to go with any. It goes with the super, hyper secret nature of the ship.

Bungie.... creators of Halo LOVE the number 7..... so every year on the 7th day of the 7th month (Today) they do something special....

This year they have a rotating team of four players consisting of the employees from Bungie playing in a game type against..... ANYONE.

And they have prizes for beating the team and for other stuff.

I thought it had something to do with Halo. I like a lot of the design elements used but I never really got into the games.

I wasn't impressed by the game play either. Through they have amazing storyline and graphics. Halo Wars was good through, from the little I've played.

Say, has a Far Future ship ever been done for a challenge?
