If they wouldnt have been destoyed, Tollans probably would have been the sixth race, maybe even the fifth. From current ones, Hebridians seem doing well on all regards, including morals (the sixth race doesnt have to be human does it?). The genii doesnt look like someone moral enough to be the sixth race.

Btw your suggestion 5 is an excelent way to beat the wraith

well considering the nox and the asgard and possibly the furlings were not human, no. after all it is the 6th RACE

This is what I'd give any civ. in Pegasus that wants to defend itself against the Wraith.

The industry and knowledge to build what follows, or a steady supply train from us:

Infantry Weaponry and Equipment:
1. AA-12 Shotguns with FRAG-12 ammo. (Exploding ammo would be great against the wraith)
2. USAS-12 (Automatic shotgun. Alot of firepower)
3. .50cal sniper rifles.(Massive damage from a distance. 50cal should be enough to deal with Wraith)
4. 7.62mm assault rifles.(Drop those pathetic M4 and P90's. Use a real weapon instead. Give them all 100round ammo drums too)
5. Claymores
6. FRAG, INC, Smoke and Flashbang grenades.
7. Nightvision goggles.
8. A simplified version of the Stryker or some other armored vechicle. Don't think it'd need lots of armor, as it just needs to withstand Wraith infantry weaponry. To defend against darts would require way too much armor.
9. Stingers and other MANPADS (Instakill on darts)
10. A ground vehicle carrying MANPADS.
11. An attack helicopter with a small-caliber railgun and 2.75" rockets and stingers. US, European or Russian-made doesn't really matter. It has to be simple enough that one doesn't need to do lots of maintenence, and still be good enough to deal with wraith infantry and a low number of darts.
12. Portable Air Defense Platforms.
13. Subspace transmitter that a planet could use that would alert a dedicated 304 of any Cruiser/Hive Ship attack. It's not realistic, or effecient to give all planets the technology to defend themselves against such a massive threat as a cruiser or hiveship.

And Earth could afford to build a couple of thousand of those and just give them away. Earth has not yet built a space platform itself, if excluding midway station. Not to mention we have not mastered cloaking technology, a missile that will deal enough damage to a wraith ship, nor the proper propulsion that will accelerate the missle fast enough, and still be undetectable.

ok. so, better explained: give em a missile silo, give it a surface-orbit missiles[we can shoot down sattelites with an anti BALLISTIC missile], use one of our nukes[like the deadalus has], and use a building cloak for the facility and the missile. 4 missile silos per facility. more than enough.

You seem to forget that a Hive Ships escort darts shoot down missiles quite easily. Certain improvements in missile technology has to be made before they can be used as a defensive measure.

And BTW giving them such kind if weaposn may be dangerous too :

- if that is not enough to destroy the hive, it will not wait for them to cloak it again. They would rather give them the Wraith-Hoffan operation : make sure that there is nothing left of them and of you.

- on the contrary, if those weapons works perfectly, other Wraiths would start wondering what's happening in your corner of the galaxy. And they will came "en masse".

I rather think that whatever we gave them it should be easily transported too so that they could attack the Wraith without them being able to track them back to their homeworld.

And BTW, that future PG 6th race would wonder why they should take all the risks while the Tau'ri homeworld (Earth, in Another Galaxy, Far Far Far Away) or outpost (Atlantis, on some unknown planet) are safe... We'd better have a good explanation.
