Wraith or Asgard Beaming tech ,use as a prison facility
Okay, so just hypothetically some jackass kills a whole bunch of people, is this person still even human? Do they really deserve mercy? shoot them.
Of course he's human...
And if you have to shoot him (as in you can't apprehend him and he might kill more people), then feel free. But if not, even the craziest of people deserve a trial and sentencing.
Or we could stop mollycoddling our killers and just start shooting them. But thats a philosophical dilemma for another thread. I think its a good idea to use the buffer as a temporary thing, but it would probably take a lot of power to keep a large amount of people in there for a long length of time. At the very least, you could avoid situations like what happened to the Serrakin or w/e the heck their names were. Remember that their prisoners escaped and took over their ship? Well, put em in the transport buffer and that would never be a problem, would it?

Well yeah, but if the sentence is death, If what they have done is bad enough they don't deserve to be beamed up, become energy and just get deleted. If what they have done is bad enough they should suffer... Wow I sound angry... but yeah if it's that bad they get sentenced to death (not like the indonesian drug smugglers or anything) they shouldn't get the easy way out.

Because it's things like compasion and humanity that seperate us from wild animals?
