I'm not saying the ZPM cant handle the power required to withstand the blast, i'm thinking the shield wouldnt ba able to hold up against the blast. I imagine the detonation of a ZPM to be nearly the same magnitude of a a star going supernova.

If it's anywhere near arcturus exploding, I'd have to agree. The explosion would be pretty darn big. I'm not sure how well Asuran shields would fare, though. We've seen an Earth ship stand up to a pretty huge solar flare, and Atlantis' shield has done the same (or so we've been told). Also, with three or more fully charged ZPMs, it stands to reason that anything the Asurans have is at least three times better charged than the Earth ship's or Atlantis' resources. If only we knew how big that solar flare was in relation to arcturus we'd be able to tell more.
