    Question about Goa'uld Sense ability?

I have a question about the Goa'uld Sense ability that Carter had

When SG-1 and the Russain team went on a mission in that Pyrmid. They realized that there was a Goa'uld in the group. So Teal'c and Carter used there "Sense" ability to determine that neither one of them was the Goa'uld. So why didn't Carter use this ability when they went to that town where Goa'uld took over in the night? I mean couldn't she have sensed that there were many Goa'ulds around her or what?

Nope, those Symbiotes in the town were cloned, and so had no Naquadah in their blood, as it must be injected as a trace mineral in the symbiotes diet.

There is no naqudah on earth, so no naquadah in their blood for Carter to sense the EM field it creates.

I originally thought they couldnt sense them as they were only awakened at night and in the day time the symbiote was asleep (ahhh sounds cute lol) but the whole teal'c at the bar, the symbiotes were obviously concious so WHY didnt teal'c recognise them, the only explanation is they MUST not have had naqadah in their blood.

The Goa'uld were originally an aquatic predator that lived in lakes on the same world as the Unas. They eventually became parasites and took Unas as hosts and at this stage in their lives they did not possess naquada in their blood which was incorporated at a later date but how or when is unknown.

Now this naquada allows a symbiote to detect another symbiote within the host. There are certain exceptions of course:
*drugs can be used to dampen the senses of the host which is what Hathor did to Carter
*drugs can be used on the symbiote themselves to dampen the naquada they have which was done by a Goa'uld on Kelowna
*the symbiote has no naquada in their blood to begin with, the Goa'uld on the primordial homeworld of their kind do not have naquada in their blood nor do the cloned ones on Earth

                    And thats Goa'uld biology 101....

I don't remember what Teal'c said if he didn't say anything in the episode the Unas captured Daniel and at one point Teal'c "felt" the presence of symbiotes in the lake, I don't remember if it's true but it would be an error as they had no body and no naquadah.

buthe could see that the alke was not empty as was meant to suposed. and any way. when one of the people there got a Goa'uld in their head Teal'c would have known exactly what was in the lake.
