For Wraith, hunger burns like a fire.
Tell me, Sheppard, if you found yourself burning alive, would you settle for just one drop of water ...
....... or would you take more?

We built our own DHD, we found the safeties built into a stargate and were able to overwrite them. We also know how a gate works, at least on the show, therefore we should be able to reverse engineer a gate, there may be compenents we dont understand, but we should be able to understand almost 90% of what makes up a stargate.
From this we could make the 2-button stargate, which in essence would eliminate the problems we have with enemies dialing in faster than we can dial out.
Yes, I know it would never happen on the show becasue why bring in a new gate when the one we have now is fine. The whole plot line of enemies trying to use our slow dialing against us would be gone and that would hurt thr longevity of the show. Whatever. IF, and I stress IF, this whole scenario was happening in the real world, the gate would have been replaced with a 2-button ASAP to stop enemies from dialing in.

A normal stargate address consists of 7 symbols, 6 points in space and point of origin, the 6 points mark where the planet is and the point of origin to make a course. The point of origin should be unique to every gate, regardless of how many there are on a planet, but as eagled eyed stargate fans have noticed, most gates have the /\ PoO, TPTB did cock up here. Each planet should have different symbols on the gate aswell (think about it why would every gate every in the universe have star constilations that match the earth's night sky)Jedi_Master_Bra'tac, previously known as wako!

I LOVE that..! That is so freakn' cool..! Well done. Your definitely getting green for all the effort. Nice!
One question though... You have 7 possible spaces to enter. Obviously the 7th place would normally be for the point of origin. What if you wanted to dial an 8 symbol extra-galactic address? I tried it, but it won't let you do that. Oh well...The success or failure of your deeds, does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed! Yeah, I decided that extra-galactic addresses were outside the scope of the simulator.
However, I will mention that, beyond the 5 addresses that it challenges you to enter, there's a bit of an Easter Egg. Dial the planet where Dr. Ernest Littlefield got trapped for 50 years.
I could put some more planets in this, but I'm trying to keep the size of the .SWF file fairly small. Right now it's 78 kilobytes.
There's a much more complex dialer simulator available for download on the web, but it's a 60+ megabyte download or some such. I figured I'd make the teeny-tiny one.
