I bet there is some kind of defence system around earth that we don't know about, that no one knows about(except ancients.) One Prior wouldn't activate it, and not the plague. But a ship shows up and the alarm goes off, all of a sudden the moon opens up and there is a super drone launcher or a beam weapon like what the Ori have, or something. The Ori probably know how important Earth was to the ancients so they are afraid to go there.

Why attack Earth now when our resolve is strong, wouldn't it be better to hand us our asses in battle and let us see the Ori defeat world after world then watch as the decide to come to conqure us.Like the battle in camelot not all the ships fighting the Ori were destroyed because they wanted survivors to go spread the word about the awsomeness of the Ori.

The Ori need people to worship them, dead people can't worship them so killing everyone one isn't on their agenda. Earth with it's 6 billion population must represent a valuble prize for the Ori, so coming here and having to wipe out most of the population because they wouldn't submit would be a hollow victory in their eyes. It would be easier for them to instill fear in us by way of their campaign in the MW then invade us. At least that makes sense from their persective.

Just remember the Ori DO have tactics, they arn't here to conqure planets they are here to convert people to their cause.

JanusAncient is right, they have tactics and they have already attacked Earth indirectly with the plague. And the "Ori Shields Vs Ancient Drones" debate is still up in the air. The one thing I can think of why they have not attack Earth is because they are waiting to convert the rest of the MW before they attack us. That way they would have a stronger army and everyone through out the galaxy that opposes them will either be hiding or dead. That would be a good direct attack tactic.

Question: When did the read Daniel's mind and find out about the ZPM and the Ancient Outpost in Antartica? I don't remember that.

True, but that's our advantage. We have the time to improve our technology far beyond it's current level. In war, technology grows faster than usual(far faster). Area 51 is currently working on better tech. At
Calvin grows up to be Frazz. The logical continuation of this is, of course, that Frazz then grows up to be Edward Norton's character from Fight Club. And thus, all four of these characters are gods.Let's go one more step. Calvin grows up to be Jeremy, who grows up to be Frazz, who grows up to be "Tyler Durden," while Suzie grows up to be Haruhi Suzumiya; since Kyon becomes The Doctor, this leads to the inescapable conclusion that after the end of Fight Club, Calvin becomes Captain Jack.
