Earth has perfected its fighter/interceptors as well as its battlecruisers, which are speedy armored transport ships. So isn't it about time that earth built some battleships. I'm talking about thick hulls, advanced sheilds, multiple missle batteries, rotational rail gun turrets, modefied/reverse engineered drone chair, 302/jumper bays. Slower(granted), but way more powerful. These ships would be used for planetary defense and would remain in orbit around earth and would only leave to engage the enemy when an altercation appears imminent, such as in 'Beachhead', but battlecruisers would still be used for situations like 'Off the Grid', where speed counts.O'Neill: They didn't go for it.
