There has been some discussion that convincing the priors that the Ori are not gods would drain the Ori's power and allow us to win the war. I don't think the writers will take this path, however, because it would be the exact same situation as the Goa'uld and the Jaffa.
    SQUEE like no one's listening.

Like....the goa'uld pretending to be gods and the ori pretending to be gods?

The Ori are nothing more than the goa'uld with a new face (and real powers) in reality

Agreed, it would suck if that was going to happen.

Also, huge difference being that should a Prior betray the Ori in any way then they die a fiery death. Once tretonin was found for the Jaffa it was easy for the idea of freedom to be seen but the things done to a Prior seem almost magical so don't know how that would be combated to provide 'freedom' to them.

it seams that you can convince a prior all you want, but the ORI seam to have programed them to 'self destruct'. so they probally programed them to 'self destruct' if they have any doubt about ther 'gods'

Well you would think so They wouldnt want anyone doubting their powers especially not the Priors cuz they get power from their worshippers and anyone who stops means that they would lose some power and the Priors probly giv them more power
