Before we go jumping off any more cliffs trying to find better weaponry I believe that we should try and understand the alien technology that we have aquired so far, it may present the answer to our weaponry problem since our engines do seem to use some form of plasma and/or ions in them we may be able to make our own weapons based off of them. we also have at least six staff weapons and probably more zats and those both shoot energy.

basically I believe we have all the tech we need to make more effect weaponry if we would just take the time and effort to learn how it actually works instead of playing the dumb monkeys and pushing buttons our more advanced allies give us.

Although I admit it would be cool to almost dwarf a planet with a Tau'ri supervessel, Earth in the Stargate universe simply couldn't build it. It would attract so much attention that we'd have to make the Stargate program public.


This leaves two options:
1.) Build said bigger vessels offworld (plausible, but extremely expensive and troublesome)
2.) Build smaller vessels (less expensive, less intruisive, and you're able to build more).


Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing one or two large vessels. It'd be nice to have a carrier capable of carrying more than 90 F302s.

^^like I was saying before we need destroyers or somekind of escort for the Daedalus class...the modern Navy world never send a single carrier into theatre without escorts, why because a carrier is a large "weak" target...

Also, the information that I "typed up myself" regarding the technical difference between Daedalus and Prommie are pretty much all common sense. Improved and larger systems as well as a larger crew will require more power. So there needs to be a redesigned power system. More 302's as well as more systems means you need a bigger crew, which means more consumables. New ventilation system, life support, cargo bays for more food, especially since they are making long distance trips and Prommie wasn't. I could go on and on, it's all common sense. There's just been too many changes. The Daedalus is not in any way a sister ship or "the same as Prommie, just looking different". It's a completely redesigned vessel.

its possible that they may provide us with the beam weapon that was on beliskner in thors hammer, which is effectively another form of thier beaming technolgy, just used as a weapon...this could be easily defended against bythem but would allow earth to beam fields of nukes to fighters in to combat or beam thier fighters away like thor did with the hataks.

This is why no one is taking you seriously. You're not trying to have a mature discussion. "yakedy yak", my five year old cousin talks like that. The burden of proof is not on me. The burden of proof rests with any individual who is trying to disprove what we already know to be true. We know how AF nomenclature works and we know that Daedalus is a significantly different design than Prometheus. Therefore logically it would not be the same design number. Yet you have suggested it is. Since your opinion is in direct contrast to the presented evidence and logic, the burden of proof lies with you.

Also I should point out that even if it did rest with me, I have met the challenge. I have clearly responded to each argument you have put forth (and others have put forth). I have also present much more evidence than you and explained it thoroughly. Every time I post something however, instead of trying to disprove me (which one would think you would do since you disagree with me) you simply ignore me and post snippy little remarks. You are not doing justice to those who agree with you.
