Peter DeLuise Transcript

I recently spoke to the multi-talented Peter DeLuise who is known for his work in front of the camera on 21 Jump Street, and Sequest DSV. Peter has also established himself as a top director of such TV series, like Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Kyle XY and Bloodties. He also was one of the guiding forces of the Stargate universe as producer and writer.

2. If you're going to write a message, Amanda's probably your favourite or
one of your favourite, actors - make sure you respect her by writing your
message neatly! That means you:
a. write something longer than a one-line greeting of the "Happy
Birthday, Amanda!" sort. Make it longer, please.
b. include your name at the end of it
c. use capital letters where necessary
d. write "Amanda" with a capital "A"
e. do not refer to anything of personal nature or ask personal questions
f. do not refer *in any way* to the tragic events around Amanda's last
year's Christmas - do not bring back the grief, please.

Note: if you receive a message saying your message has been rejected, make
sure you go back to the rules specified above and feel free to resend it. Sorry
to say, but these rules are non-negotiable. Not to sound nasty, but I truly do
wish Amanda to read nice, neat messages rather than more one-liners. I'm sure
you understand.

If you are a foreigner, feel free to send me your message to be spell-checked
and grammar checked. I'm a teacher of English by profession.

from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli

Found one that the Steampunkopedia and I agree on--1995's Legend.

Legend was a very odd show. Not fully drama, not fully comedy, smart in an occasionally brainless way, it starred Richard Dean Anderson as Ernest Pratt, a man making his living writing the "true" stories of "Nicodemus Legend", steampunk savior of the West. He arrives in Sheridan, Colorado, to track down the culprit playing on "his" name--which is actually the name of his character from the dime-store novels--only to find Professor Janos Bartok playing him (not only a thinly disguised Nikola Tesla, but in another brilliant move, portrayed by John de Lancie).

The beauty of the show was its quirky sense of invention, in all things. This was the first show Richard Dean Anderson had ever produced, and the first show he starred in post-MacGyver. One very definitely got the feeling that he was learning his way, learning to split his attention between actor and producer.

PAUL MCGILLION CAST IN JJ ABRAMS' 'STAR TREK'

YES!!!! He did get a part after all!! Trekmovie.com has confirmed it!

In September TrekMovie.com broke the news that Stargate Atlantis’ Paul McGillion auditioned for the role of Scotty for the new Star Trek film, but of course in the end the role went to Simon Pegg. However it appears that wasn’t the end of the line for McGillion. TrekMovie.com has learned that the actor impressed the film makers with his audition and they found a different role for the actor. No details yet on his role, except that it is a small speaking part.

McGillion has actually already finished shooting for the film, which took a few days back in November. It appears he will be in a scene with Chris Pine (Kirk). Since Simon Pegg had not started working yet, there will not be an on screen meeting between two.

After TrekMovie.com first broke the news that McGillion auditioned for the role of Scotty there was a large outpouring of support from the fan community, but it is not known if that factored into the decision to give him a role. A source tells TrekMovie.com that JJ Abrams was impressed with McGillion’s audition and even though he picked his MI3 co-star Simon Pegg for Scotty, he still wanted to find a place for Paul.
