Vancouver director Derek Franson's indie about a woman with a living tattoo features Laura Soltis of TV's Hiccups, Tygh Runyan [who guest starred in SGU in Justice and returns in Space and Faith], Phil Granger and Eugene Lipinski. They wrapped this month with a scene at Gastown's Diamond restaurant.

Vancouver's Nicholas Lea ( The X-Files, Men in Trees) has joined this ABC sci-fi series [V] as the ex-husband of the show's FBI alien fighter (Elizabeth Mitchell). Also featured are Vancouver's Christopher Shyer and David Richmond-Peck [who has guest starred in SG1's Orpheus, SGA's Harmony and Sanctuary's Folding Man].

... This Canadian-produced series [Sanctuary] about gothic monsters among us, airing around the world, is back for its third season. Stars Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne and Christopher Heyerdahl are back among the CGI creatures.

American Alan Ruck (the best friend in Ferris Bueller's Day Off [and guest starred in SGA's The Real world]), was last here playing the dad in I Love You Beth Cooper. He returns for this CW network pilot about a Wyoming ranch family, from the creator of Gilmore Girls.

Stargate Is Fun, But Brian J. Smith's Home Is The Stage
Actor talks about April 2 return, and teases a little about Season 2 on Alpha Waves Radio

                EXCERPT:

Smith is back on set in Vancouver, British Columbia, with the rest of the ensemble cast of "Universe" shooting the show's second season. Fans, however, will have a chance to get the back-10 episodes of the hit series' first season beginning April 2 when "Universe" returns to Syfy.

"Universe" is the first regular series gig Smith has picked up in his very young career, and there are many times he still stands in disbelief about where he is when acting out a scene.

"I still see myself as a community theater actor," he said. "That is always how I'm going to view my career. I love to do theater. I will sweep the stage of the theater and work backstage."

David Richmond-Peck plays resistance fighter in popular TV show

                            By Raju Mudhar

                            Mon Mar 29 2010

It’s hard to stand out in an ensemble piece, but so far things are going pretty well for V’s David Richmond-Peck. The Oakville-born actor’s character, Georgie Simon, has gotten some pretty good face time on the series’ brief four-episode run so far as the leaderof the burgeoning resistance movement against the seemingly peaceful alien Visitors.

“It’s one of the reasons that I really wanted to do the show. His type of the character is what really interested me,” says Richmond-Peck. “There’s a lot of stuff beneath the surface and obviously the stakes involved with knowing that Georgie is one of the only people on the planet that actually knows why the Visitors are here and what that means.

“He has a higher purpose of knowing that he has to go out and fight them, which contrasts with him wanting to have a normal life, which he can’t have...”

Brian J Smith (SGU) Murder on the Orient Express

                                Agatha Christie's Poriot: Murder
                                On The Orient Express

This eagerly anticipated adaptation of Agatha Christie’s
                                best-loved murder mystery is a star-studded production.
Directed by BAFTA winner Philip Martin (Wallander),
David Suchet returns as eccentric Belgian detective,
Hercule Poirot. Travelling from Istanbul to London on the
famous Orient Express, Poirot is approached by ruthless
businessman Samuel Ratchett (Toby Jones -
Frost/Nixon), who offers him $10k to watch his back.
Poirot refuses, but when Ratchett is stabbed to death he
vows to find the killer. Aided by amateur sleuth Dr
Constantine (Samuel West - Desperate Romantics),
Poirot assembles an extensive list of suspects, including
                                Ratchett’s manservant Edward Masterman (Hugh
Bonneville - Notting Hill), elderly Princess Dragomiroff (
Dame Eileen Atkins - Cranford), and pushy Mrs
Hubbard (Barbara Hershey - Beaches). The stakes are
raised when the train gets stuck in a snowdrift. Cut off
from civilization, Poirot’s skills are tested to the limit.
What was Ratchett frightened of? More importantly, is the
                                assassin still on the train?

                                Series 1-10: 37 x hours + 21 x 2 hours
