          Joe Flanigan

          http://www.tv.com/users/Endgame65/history.php?id=574897

          person: Joe Flanigan

          The Bottom Line: "Perfect"

Joe Flanigan is an extremely talented actor who has truly met his stride on
the hit SciFi show Stargate Atlantis. He has showed his acting prowess through
the unique character of John Sheppard on the show. Prior to Stargate Atlantis
he starred in several series in guest or recurring shows such as Tru Calling,
Profiler, Birds of Prey, First Monday, Cupid, and others. He is the perfect
actor to portray John Sheppard, and I can picture no one else in his place. His
ability to shift between a playful and joking manner into a serious soldier is
a talent, and he portrays a military leader with skill and poise. You
wouldn't think he would be able to play a soldier, but he wears the part well,
          even
with a mussed up hair-do typically not seen in the military (by the way, can't
picture it any other way). His versatile acting style has made him one of my
favorite television actors, and I never miss an episode of a show he
          participates in.

                    Richard Dean Anderson

                    Updates at RDAnderson.com:

In a note earlier this week, RDA mentioned the MacGruber skits he had shot
for Saturday Night Live. Apparently he didn't know at the time that three
more skits (not commercials this time), were scheduled to air on Saturday
Night Live later in the week.

The newest MacGruber skits, as well as RDA's note, can now be seen in the
Updates section of the RDA website.

                      by Sean L. McCarthy

It's Sunday morning. You have questions about last night's Saturday Night Live.

                      We have answers.

... Did my favorite character return? If you love MacGruber, he was back for a
new trilogy, and this time, he made up for that whole Pepsi ad confusion by
reuniting with his TV inspiration, MacGyver.

... Were there any celebrity cameos? Richard Dean Anderson, TV's MacGyver, co-starred in the "MacGruber" sketches.

SNL #34.18 with Dwayne Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Saturday Night Live returned last night after two weeks off with a fresh case of spring fever and a ham sandwich of a host, and although I cannot say that any of the sketches are instant classics, I can say that the entire show was at least fairly funny from start to finish, and that is quite commendable. Let's get to recapping!

... MACGRUBER: With MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson)! Wiig plays the assistant Vicky as always. Wait a second. Isn't this what they did in that Pepsi Super Bowl ad that got everyone riled up? Not quite. This time, it's an actual MacGruber sketch, as MacGyver as "new guy" waxes nostalgic in a flashback (10 seconds?!) to when he and his missus (Elliott) give birth to a boy in an abandoned hospital in December 1972. Jason Sudeikis plays the doc. And MacGyver names him MacGruber. MacGruber MacGyver. Plot twist! But wait, there's more.
Michaela Watkins plays the assistant to MacGyver and...

... MACGRUBER #2: How much do you love, me daddy? A bunchy bunch, or an itty bitty? Then why did you leave me? Flashback. He left for a stripper? Door's locked. MacGruber!

... MACGRUBER #3: Their relationship has soured. Not talking to each other.
Wait. Post-script flash-forward to Spaceport: 2040 to finish the joke. "Do you
want some alone time?" Maybe he should. Moon-raker!

... MacGruber: The evening's "MacGruber" bits were actually really good. Having a Pepsi-free version with Richard Dean Anderson was fantastic and the overall timing was perfect. Way to be a good sport and bring back MacGyver.

... "V," from WBTV, is a re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about an invasion of aliens known as Visitors and the resistance against them. The ICM-repped Baccarin will play Anna, the leader of the Visitors who is remarkably knowledgeable about human culture and media manipulation.

Probably good news for Michael Shanks – good exposure for his career as he was in the last couple episodes.
