The new Stargate's universe is expanding. On the heels of the announcement that Trainspotting's Robert Carlye will front the new Sci Fi Channel series (playing Dr. Nicholas Rush), TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that Justin Louis and Jamil Walker Smith have joined the nascent cast.

Louis (Hidden Hills) will play Colonel Everett Young, an experienced and married Stargate team leader, while Smith (Hey, Arnold!) will portray Sr. Sgt. Ronald Greer, a Marine with an explosive temper...and a mysterious past to account for it.

Fans of MacGyver and Stargate were out in force in Long Beach last month to witness Richard Dean Anderson make a special appearance at the 2nd Annual Quench the Fire 5K Run & Walk at the El Dorado Regional Park.

It was the second time the 58-year-old star has been part of the event – he emceed the 1st annual event in 2007. This year he made a return appearance, signaling the start of the race and announcing the winners as the race concluded. He also signed autographs and posed for pictures.

David Faustino has arrived on the web. Crackle’s new comedy web series Star-ving premieres today, kicking off a riotous look inside the life of the former Married…with Children star’s groveling reality. Ok, so it’s not quite reality. Faustino plays himself of course, only he’s broke, out of work and begging his rich Hollywood pals for money. His longtime friend Corin Nemec (former star of Parker Lewis Can’t Lose) is the screwball sidekick looking to ride Faustino’s coattails back to glory. Oh, and he runs a porn shop.
