    $132??

Maybe you're ordering at the wrong times. I wait for it to go down in price a bit. I bought season 6 for $101, including postage, only a few months ago. It's gone back up in price now.

I guess you just gotto shop around...

But I wouldn't get the R1 DVDs if you paid me. Well, maybe if you paid me lol

When I found the $132 price I used http://www.xe.com to exchange the currencies, but that end result was obviously subject to change as the A$ might have been poor against the british pound, but still if you paid $101 for a box set, thats still a little high for me, I would have waited until it was released here.

See, I just can't wait that long.

When I first started buying from the U.K., I did it because I needed to get caught up. I've been watching stargate from the beginning, but when i got RIGHT into it, I need a refresher course.

At that stage, the season 1 set was out in Australia, and I started with that. It was actually selling at close to $100 at Myers, and after some shopping around, I found it at Big W for $71. But then I needed 2 and 3 etc and they weren't out yet.

Since then, even the new releases don't seem to be priced at over $76 when they come out here. If Australia catches up to the U.K., I might consider buying them here but until that time....nope.

Remember that when I started buying them, there was no indication that I wouldn't have to wait YEARS for season 4 etc to come out here.

My season 1, 2 and 3 are Aussie box sets though.

Yeah, I fully understand your impatience, I for the past few days was seriously thinking about ordering the R1 box sets, I can play them fine, but on one of my DVD players it is adjusting the framerate on the fly, so the video looks a bit stuttery.

But after watching Disc 1 of the S6 box set, kindly loaned to me by Positively Kanyon, I decided against it as I wasn't too fond of this stuttering effect, and since the S5 box set is now listed i'm going to wait for them here, it will take a long time, but I feel that it is worth it.

Yeah I have S1,2,3 as the Australian ones, and I hope to be able to hold off ordering overseas ones so that they are all the Australian box sets.

Well even tho I have a hybrid collection, I'm pretty lucky that they still all match and look good together.

The art work is very similar and the colours are pretty much the same too. Only some minor differences.

The most noticable thing is the extra disk, but I can live with that.

Another reason I might be more willing to spend the money is because I don't actually have to pay for them all myself. My brother and I have a shared collection, so sometimes he buys a set, sometimes I do. That makes a pretty big difference.

Lucky about sharing the cost of these things, I usually have to pay for them myself, but if they are released about the right time, I can get my mum to buy me one for my birthday or christmas.

I'm lucky as my birthday is the 18th of Februray and there is normally one released either a few days before, on the day or just after so I can normally get my folks to get me that one released about then.

I've been building up my movie collection lately. I've got a few TV shows on DVD but the only DVDs I've bought recently are movies. (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Spider-Man from EzyDVD this month alone. )

I haven't bought any DVDs for a while now, the last was Underworld that was at least a month ago, maybe more. I've been saving my money for Stargate items and my new computer that I will need to win the lottery to get at this rate.
