Cool, i will admit i would have liked mines to be a bit larger, but i'm ok with this size as i don't have much room anyways. how big is your friend daedalus going to be? also does he plan on selling it to others or is it more for himself?
I have no idea if he's going to make more, since printing the entire piece would take a little over a day.
If his model out of wood is anything to go by, then I think it'll be about 1m long and 50cm high.
He posted images on FB recently but I can't seem to find them.

woah that's about 40 inches long by 20 inches high!! that's like almost studio scale model!! it would be too large to fit any of my displays so i'm good with the ones i got.

hi guys it's been about a month since i got my 3d ships and so about a few weeks ago i finally painted them. i tried to match the color they used on the show abut i think i made it too dark and i also painted the windows. with these painted you can see all the details on them, like with the prometheus it has such great setail. as for the daedalus even though its my favorite i do fell let down by all the missing detail, you can clear see it with the paint.
the good news is that thanks to falcon horus, and others on the web; i am in the process of getting into 3d printing.

Yeah thanks, there are a lot cool thing i like to 3d print and so i figure i should invest in a 3d printer. since i have knowledge and skills in 3d modeling; it'll be a lot of fun to 3d print my own designs.

I've been on the look-out for a printer for a while now. Maybe need to save a little first for it, but definitely in the market for one.
Currently working on a project, that for now is in cardboard, that I would love to model and print. PH has already offered to print it for me.
Sweet, i checked ebay and found some good deals on printers for under $200 but of course these are the DIY china printers. for someone like me who are still new to this it's not too bad.
