Someone there is selling them, but they are expensive.
flightsuits.com sells a nylon shell version which is screen accurate. SG-1 wore the nylon shell jacket in the pilot episode after that, they switched to a ripstop material for the jackets.
Or you could go with the Mountain Cloth version (green) Flightsuits used to do custom orders for the jackets on SG-Command (long time ago) don't anymore. I'd say hang around SG-Command and maybe http://www.stargatehero.net for information about costuming and such.
I got my patches over a week ago. And today I just bought some real flak jackets and a BDU shirt from a Military Surplus Store in my town.
Add that my military BDU pants, military camoflage cap, and my AirSoft P-90.... Im gonna be a STARGATE Infantryman for this Halloween! And maybe even in a future SG convention!
Although, being someone from the Philippines (rather dark skinned) and a shaven-bald head... I think I just need some gold on my forhead to make myself into an Southeast Asian Teal'c or at least another Jaffa joining the SG teams....
I bought a BDU- like light jacket from GAP, I got the Daedalus command patch at e-bay, colonel rank insignia from a military surplus, patches ( SGA, project Earth, Wraithwaxers squadron ) from Patch geeks and a flightbadge with the name of Steven Caldwell. I put all together and now I'm the proud owner of a replica of Col. Caldwell's uniform in a BDU- type jacket instead of a flightsuit.
Well, to be honest I cheated even more than you think because I did it first with a "t-shirt transfer" kind of paper, with my printer, and then ironing it to a piece of clothe, then sewed on the sleeve of my jacket...
So it's not the nice embroided patch...
However, I know a company that makes embroided custom patches. We just send them the picture of the logo we want, and they'll do it for you.. But the minimum is 50 pieces. (it's about 5$ per patch). But what would I do with 50 patches?? I haven't ordered it yet.
(plus I'm not sure I can legally ask for a company to reproduce the SG-1 design, even if it's just for me). Otherwise I could sell lots on eBay
