How hard would it be to make a Life Signs Detector app?

How hard would it be to design and make a Life Signs Detector app for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad? A simulator with all or most of the features that are in the show, like the Tricorder app for Star Trek.

If you go standing in a room, and get all the lifesigns of everything around you on a small device, even if some rooms are in metal, then you have a lifesignsdetector.. At least that's how i would describe it..

A life sign's detector could be in many different forms.

maybe if you conmbined things like heat detection, movement and sound to create a detection device but i doubt you could sense through walls that well

Well.. A lifesign detector would not be very handy if it was as big as ten footballfields.
