Which is very true. And puddle jumpers are not fighters. They are support transports. You wouldn't send a blackhawk against an apache, would u??

      well, no.

but that is what shep and the rest are doing (succesfull yes, but in a dedicated fighter they would have more success, if it was build by the ancients....man building a fighter with only their's and asgard tech....would be awesome

      greetings LAX

The puddle jumper is like a Westland Lynx - fast, powerful weapons and good in a light support role (let's forget the existance of the anti-tank variant ftm). however, you wouldn't send it to take on a harrier or a tornado. Use that analogy and there u go - dedicated fighter aircraft trumps support/transport aircraft.

Not to make the Lynx sound crap, it is the fastest heli in the world.

valid comparison that, the lynx is a supporter like our beloved jumper, but they are in no way main combatants (at least they are not designed to be, how they are used is another matter entirely)

          greetings LAX

No because the Ancients weren't enough in numbers to have 1000 pilots on every ships waiting to fly a puddle jumper.

True. And they didn't have that many jumpers, either. (and it gets cold in space......*budum dum dum, crash*)
