Every time I watch The Pegasus, I'm simply lost as to Riker's issues. The human story does nothing for me. Add to that the tying of that episode to These Are The Voyages... and you get little love from me.

Every time I watch The Pegasus, I'm simply lost as to Riker's issues. The human story does nothing for me. Add to that the tying of that episode to These Are The Voyages... and you get little love from me.

I, myself don't blame "The Pegasus" for ST: Enterprise going out on a sour note. I just think that it was unlucky and unfortunate that B&B chose that ep to provide a link between the Enterprise and TNG eras. Whichever episode they had picked, it still would have left a bad taste in the mouth for everyone.

It was the phased cloaking device/violation of the Treaty of Algeron plot that held my attention and also Captain Picard day.

Very true on all counts. I don't blame the episode itself per se, but I've never liked it apart from the things you like also, so it just gets twice demonized by being in used in 'Voyages...'.
