And why would bugs bite bugs - I would've thought the boys would be fine... knowing me I;ll get eaten alive - bugs seem to think I;m very tasty...

I was saying the the bugs would NOT bother the boys probably because they are also part bug!!

Chiggers!! Be glad you don't have them!! I've never seen a chigger but they are small bugs that live in the grass here and they crawl on you and burrow into your skin and itch worse than mosquito bites!! If you lay out in the grass you can get bitten by hundreds of them!! Not fun!! Chiggers love me and I hate them!!

Yes, but ticks only stick their heads in. Chiggers are small and just burrow all teh way in. There's no pulling them off. Ticks don't itch like fire either!!
