Thank you! I will put it into the album and I'll upload it to the homepage.

The guide is a good idea.

Game Update and player discussion concerning Hive 95's invitation.

Ciannwn now has the official position of Boris's personal assistant and the status of a senior officer. I thought this would be helpful when sorting out who will be going to the Grand opening of Deveareax on Hive 95.

                  http://forum.gateworld.net/showpost....2&postcount=51

a limit of 5 attendees per party, with a limit of up to 2 parties from each Hive that wishes to attend. Each Hive's commanding officership (Queen, Queen's Advisor's, Senior High Commandership, etc) is granted one party of 10 attendees, so each Hive is allowed a maximum of 20 attendees.

A number of Worshippers live on Earth and take their Wraith home with them. Boris regards those who visit his hive on a regular basis as auxiliary crew members so they should qualify as guests. Ciannwn having senior officer status means she can now be in the Commanding Officership party which leaves an extra space in the two parties of five.

Commanding Officership party can now cover the following (although they mightn't all attend) -

                  Boris

                  Ciannwn

                  Karl - Hive Administration Officer

                  Erik

                  Archimedes

                  Shawn

Gabriel - Creator and administrator of the Atlantis Personnel Takeaway.

Jimmy - In charge of hive maintenance, construction projects and reconfiguring rooms and corridors.

The invitation has been sent out to -

Boris's Hive, The Pirate Camp, The Hippie Commune, Kenny's Hive, and The Chill-out Hive.

The Kenny's Hive invitation covers Kenny and his Worshipper, Mariellelita, who works for Kenny's Koffee Nirvana company and lives on his hive.

I'm not entirely sure what to do about the Pirate Camp and the Hippie Commune. I'll need to contact TechnoWraith and find out if these two groups are being classed as two more hives in their own right or part of Boris's hive.

Ellia and Zaddik should attend. Ellia is regarded as a Queen by Boris and his crew members. She and Zaddik also helped Hive 95's Doctor Scott treat one of his patients. The Pirate Camp inhabitants have only been visitors to Zeldas Spa Center so it isn't really necessary for any of them to go.

                  Finally -

If you end up having more than 2 parties of 5 that wish to attend, you may contact Devon and see if an additional accommodation can be made. Based on response, Devon may allow a Hive to have more than 2 parties of 5. This is not guaranteed however.

If we're short of spaces we could always ask if we could have an extra party.

We have to RSVP by Sunday, May 3rd. so I'll need the details so they can be posted as a message from Boris in the Boris's Hive role playing thread.

Hope the above makes sense. It's gone 1.00 am where I am but I thought I'd better get this game discussion started.

The Hippie Commune and the Pirate Camp, for the sake of determining how many can go, can be treated as seperate Hives. In the end, I'm thinking they're seperate "hives" anyway. Though they are located on the same island, they are being regarded as separate groups. So treat the Hippie Commune and the Pirate Camp as seperate "hives", and that will allow more wraiths to attend the opening.

If situations regarding the game and making it function properly end up delaying the event for whatever reason, it is not a problem. If it turns out the event can't be held on tuesday due to some issue, let me know and I can "have a work-around" to help things out.

                    ^.^

This is a reminder that we still have to sort out the guest list for the Hive 95 event. Any player who is interested in their game alter ego and Wraith/other charaters attending should post their applications here.

Now that TechnoWraith has confirmed that the Pirates and the Hippies are counted as two separate hives in their own right we have ten spaces in the two parties of five for Boris's hive. I've already listed the characters who will be in the Commanding Officership party.

Mariellelita's characters are covered by the invitation for Kenny's Hive.

Since most of us "original players" are from the "roleplay" that took place in the All Wraith Thunk Thread, here's an outline of how typical roleplay systems work. More or less, we've kinda hit a snag with the timing of how things occur in the roleplay. And this is caused by how we've run the roleplay in the AWTT. Since most of us used real-life and real-time as a basis for events occuring in the roleplay, we've had a few issues with the timing of when things actually ocurred. To prevent this problem in the future, I've presented and discussed a new roleplay system with Ciannwn and the others who made the roleplay game here. Here is the system:

The most common time system used in most roleplay forums is the in-game time system. What this means is that the game tends to progress when players are online, and not according to player real-time. In other words, using the Grand Opening as an example:

                        1. I post the grand opening event on tuesday.
                        2. Players can choose to participate when they're online.
                        3. The event progresses as each player involved makes their posts.
                        4. The timing for the event ends up stretching over a couple of days, because the party progresses as each player makes a new post.
                        5. The party does not "run in real time." (Each poster participating in the party makes a new post, then waits for a response, and then he or she can make a new post, advancing the event).

This system is how roleplay forums work in general. In each game thread, a player is waiting for a response from the appropriate poster so he or she can add their section, and then the next poster will respond in turn. In the case of very active players who can be participate for long periods of time, the stories and events progress pretty smoothly. But one caveat of this system is that a single player can bring the entire event to a grinding halt if there is some underlying reason he or she can't participate actively for some reason. This system changes the timing of our roleplay system drastically, as we are no longer using the real-life/real-time system anymore. It seems backwards, but once you try it out, it makes perfect sense and helps to iron out "continuity issues." Granted, it's possible an inactive player can bring a thread to a halt, but there are ways to deal with inactive players. Game rules establish the methods for dealing with inactivity, and will be used accordingly if a player is unable to keep active. We understand that people may experience a real uptick in real life commitments. Don't think you're going to get kicked out because you can't participate due to real life commitments. All we ask is that you either contact a person in charge of the game, or post in the OOC chat thread (This thread) why your characters are inactive. This helps keep the game running smoothly. We hope you understand this need.

Yes, TW, Ciannwn, I like the new roleplay rules as well. It would allow in game parties to last longer.

First of all, none of what I'm going to say in this post will ever effect what goes on in The Chill-Out Hive because it's a specialised role playing thread.

TechnoWraith and I came to the conclusion that the only way the Private Grand Opening of Deveareax. would work is if Hive 95 had it's own role playing thread. The other game organisers agreed. This new thread will be created some time during the next couple of days.

We'll be using the 'in game' time system in the Hive 95 role playing thread for the Grand Opening event. This way, nobody has to miss the party if the event starts after they've gone to bed in their 'real life' time.

We'll carry on playing as we normally do in Boris's Hive, The Planet and Kenny's Hive while the Grand Opening of Deveareax.is running. Anyone who hasn't had much experience of online role playing can practise using the 'in game' time system in the Hive 95 thread without having to worry about 'getting it right' in the others. It might give the impression that a lot of our characters are in two places at once but we'll just put it down to magic leaking off TPD-123 into some parts of Pegasus so it's causing strange time anomalies.

Organising any party event in the AWTT thread was always a bit of a headache because of different time zones and some people being unable to play on Friday evening while others wouldn't be available for Saturday afternoon. The 'in game' time system would mean that everyone gets a chance to join in the fun - one evening at The Lab could last for several days of 'real time' instead of the event ending because players had to leave the game and go to bed.

The Lab has a few rooms where Wraith and Worshippers can get away from it all if they want to. The 'in game' time system would mean that a player no longer has to leave the game by saying "I'm really tired now so my Wraith and I are off back to Earth. Goodnight". The player's alter ego and Wraith could now say they're getting away from it all for a while in one of those rooms or even go for a walk in the jungle. When the player comes online the next morning The Lab event will still be going on so their game alter ego and Wraith can just emerge from their room or return from their walk in the jungle.

Players whose game alter egos live on Earth with their Wraith because of school or work etc can still go back to Earth, of course. The difference would be that the players could choose when their game alter egos and Wraith do this rather 'real time' dictating that they have to even if they're in the middle of a game activity they're enjoying.
