The transit had been swift and the Atlantis ship arrived over the muddy red-brown planet in quick time, the Systems officer, now acting XO looked out over the large expanse on the view below. "I sure don't know why Larrin picked this waste hole for re-supply Major." He said in his slow Texas drawl. A beeping sounded on his display. "We're being hailed...it's her."

Karina straightened her back a little further in her chair. "Put her through."

"What brings a Lantean ship out here?" came Larrin's voice over the comms. "We were just about to head out, so make it quick."

"This is Major Fothering of the USS Apollo," replied Karina calmly. "We need you help."

"When don't you?" muttered Larrin. Karina almost missed it amongst the background static. Clearly, this wasn't going to be as easy as she'd hoped.

Larrin was in no mood for trivial Lantean exploits, her ship had only yesterday avoided being blown to pieces by two mysterious ships and she was still counting the cost. One of her escorts and many injured aboard her own ship fouled her temper. "Major while I appreciate you coming all this way to see me, and that you will. I have little time to linger here. But there is something you must know. I will come to you, give us fifteen minutes to orbit and I'll take a shuttle over to you, is that agreeable?"

"We await your arrival," Karina responded before closing the coms channel and turned to her acting XO. "Let me know when the shuttle is on approach." She got up from her chair and headed to collect the information print-outs about the Asgardian ships they had encountered. She wanted to make sure she had all the data they had to help her convince Larrin to help them. She was also prepared herself for some tough bargaining to enlist that help.

When the call came through to her that Larrin was on approach, Karina made her way to the hanger bay to greet Larrin. Time was of the essence and she only hoped that they're help would be in time.

"She's here now Major." The coms officer told Karina.

{Larrin} NPC

The traveller shuttle was of the own making, basically a butchered up Jumper with a few modifcations and an enlarged cargo section, with crew space in the cockpit for six instead of four. It didn't need the Ancient gene either. Larrin had two of her people with her, a tough looking sergeant at arms and a young meek scientist guy, with cropped black hair. The were permitted to land in the hangar and the moment the door was down she was first out and spoke quickly to the first person she saw. "Take me to your Captain, immediately." She didn't mince words, nor did she care much for formalities.

"Yes if you would follow me please...commander." The Apollo SF's were not about to lose their decorum at least.

The duty sergeant led Larrin through passageways and up stirs, he wasn't about to make it easy for her, the attitude and haughtyness had no place on this ship. She could probably snap him in two just with her look, but she'd have to go through the entire ships company if she wanted to flaunt her superority and get results. Finally after almost ten minutes they arrived on the Bridge. He cleared his throat. "Ah Major Fothering, this is Larrin ma'am." He tipped his forehead and left her alone with the XO.

"Thank you." Karina turned to the woman. "I am Major Fothering. We came to ask for your help but you said there was something we must know?"

Larrin didn't beat about the bush. "Yesterday my ship only just avoided being destroyed by two mysterious ships. We barely got away intact."

Karina's face darkened. "How.. coincidental. We recently came under attack from Rouge Asgard with two Aurora class ships in their possession. We were attacked while we were attempting to stage a rescue mission for Colonel Sheppard and his team."

"And what, you get beat so you thought you'd come and ask for my help?" Larrin retorted. "I'm still counting the costs of my encounter with them! I've got wounded and what have you got to offer?"

Karina waited for Larrin to finish her piece. She could understand the woman's frustration - she was concerned for her people - and engaging her in a shouting match wouldn't benefit anyone. She needed to resolve this though, and fast. It had already taken longer than she would have liked and Colonel Sheppard and the others needed the aid the Apollo could bring. "If we do nothing," she said carefully, "we'll never know here they'll attack next, or who they'll destroy. Right now we have a chance to kill the snake before it has a chance to strike again."

Larrin held her hand to her chin for a moment and thought, finally she came to a decision and timely as well before a simple conversation got out of hand, so often her main flaw she had to concede. "Very well Major, do you have another name other than Fothering?" She looked around for an empty seat and found one near a console. "I will aid you as I can, but I will need assistance from your medical team first. Patch my people up as best as you can and we'll go find Sheppard, how does that sound?"

"That sounds acceptable to me. I can send a medical team over to your ship and we can have the worst cases beamed over for treatment here." She offered Larrin a wry smile. "My first name is Karina, Ms Larrin." Karina activate the coms in her office to speak to the main bridge. "Have a medical team prepared to head over to the Traveller's ship and give assistance," she cast a look over to Larrin briefly, "and one or two engineers as well." Karina turned back to Larrin. "We're probably going to be going into a fight, its only fair we help patch up your ship as well as your people. Sheppard and his team are depending on us."

For the first time in a really long while, Larrin smiled, her face had not worn that expression for ages, she extended her hand. "I believe this is your custom. And thank you, just Larrin will do. If you don't mind I will stay here with you, I can relay orders to my Adjudant from here."

Karina took the offered hand and shook it firmly, she sighed, because at last now she could finish the task she set out to do, rescue Sheppard's team from Baku and find out what or who has been attacking innocents all over the place. "Take a chair Larrin, our medical teams are away and we've beamed over the worst of your crew. There is a comset there and you can communicate with your ship. Helmsman, take us to Baku at best possible speed."

"Aye Major, we'll be in Baku orbit in approximately thirty five minutes."

"Very good. Larrin you should relay.."

"Already done." Larrin smirked as she swung in the chair she had taken behind Karina.
