Rik turned to leave. he stoped and deactivated his armour. "not as obvious like this"

Rik walked out and headed for the airport.

As the others began to move on, Aden moved closer the the General. He was somewhat nervous, especially since the only reason he is approaching the general is due to the fact that Lt. Colonel Connor is practically forcing him to do so. 'He is like an angry parent when I don't do things his way' Aden pondered as he made his way past the others to General Hammond.

There he stood, finishing his conversation with an officer that he has never seen before. The legendary commander as he has heard others say. Rumor has it that he met SG-1 in the past and that he is responsible for saving them. The feeling he began to experience is akin to that of meeting Santa Clause as a child. He remembers the mystery and importance of Santa Clause.

Right then and their, General Hammond looked at Aden expecting him to elaborate on what he knew. With great effort he began to articulate words.

"uh, um...right. Over the past few weeks I have been investigating an ancient city that may not be Goa'uld in origin. Its uh..." He started again before the General could speak up.

"Um as you know, The China we know started with the Qin Dynasty, was responsible for the unification of China in 221 BC and ended in 206 BC. Um, Some legends in world's the were under Lord Yu's domain talk about a magnificent city located in what I believe to be in Gansu province near a more modern Qingyang."

He took a moment to catch his breath as he began to get excited.

"uh, I recently received some pottery that dates back 12,000 years well before the Goa'uld arrived. Some of the inscriptions seem to be of Ancient origin, and the others seem to be some sort of Proto Chinese Language."

He could see that he managed to hold the General's atention so far and decided to cut to the point. At that moment he realized that he was not as nervous as before.

"This city is Ancient! Now, we know that the Chinese are not capable of activating the Stargate like these intruders. Further more, the dressing used by this past lady resembles that of one of the vases that have Ancient inscriptions. Sir, I think we may be dealing with Ancients of some sort."

"If these are the ancients we are dealing with then there may be some troubles" Hammond replied. "What else do you know of this city, how big is it, is it like Atlantis. And has anyone heard from Atlantis in the past twenty four hours?"

Xiao had been there, and so did a younger teen, both were dressed similarly. Only the younger teen seemed to be dressed in less then anything short of a womens bathing suit. though the older white haired woman seemed to hold herself in some high rank of sorts. China's soldeirs were advanced past the point of not needing any more technology. but then there were some perhaps that could use the stargate.

Hammond was in his office after hearing out Dr Aden, the doctor had been going on about how the scity was not goa'uld in orgin at all when instead it was ancient itself, more things could be found out, liek how big it was, and that was what the next mission was about. He looked through his office window and noticed three people there in the briefing room, Carter, Dr Jackson, and lastly Methos. Jackson was talking about something about Ancient China, at least what he knew.

The two Immortals looked at each other and then back at the General.

"Guess we'll find out soon enough General." Methos replied softly.

"In the mean time we'll take our leave sir." The Highlander stated as both he and Methos left the briefing room.

Hammond nodded, allowing the two men to leave, he liked the team as a whole, a small group, and pretty much unkillable. At least that was how the President reffered to it.

Then the phione rang....

(After time jump)

Looking out his offie window at the three currently seated at the briefing room table, Hammond listened to the voice on the phone, "You know as well as I that this could set us back several days in finding out what Anubis wants, or how to defate him." He said and listened some more. "Yes sir I'll inform SG-1 of the plan..... No I had not thought of that.... Dr Rush is at Atlantis yes. We should be reciving a report from Atlantis anytime now.... Oh Col Brown recived a report from them? How?.... I see, Ok, I'll inform everyone then of the new mission Sir." hammond hung up the phone and looked out his window at the three, now four people in the briefing room, no make that five as Teal'c and Jack just walked in, Jack holding a mug of strong coffee in one hand and teal'c holding a full coffee pot.

Hammond stepped out of the office. "Teal'c, Col O'Niell, a word, in my office." He said. jack nodded and headed in that direction.

Teal'C headed into the office behind O'Neill. He decided not to waste much time and consumed the entire pot of coffee he had been holding. He put it down on Hammond's desk.

"This coffee doesnt seem to be as good as the last time I had some. What is it you wish to speak to us about General Hammond?"

"I just spoke with the President." Hammond said guding Jack and Teal'c to the desk, the three remained standing rather then sit. "Apparently the last summit of the UN meant safety of everyone, which meant full disclosure of the alpha site. There were also seven other planets that we've been using for mining the supplies to create our starships to defend earth."

"Sounds normal to me" Jack said. "What's the catch?"

"The President wants you to help Drs Rush, and Zalenka with the ancient database" Hammond replied.

"Oh fer cryin' out loud, the last time I downloaded that thing it took almost a month to wake up." Jack grumbled.

"Apparently someone in Russia has come across information we have need for, and have agreed for us to go to them. That's where you come in. The President has authorized this mission, Jack, you are to take one team mate, and meet with Dr Rush and Dr Zalenka at the Pentagon. Col Brown will inform you when you arrive."

"I knew I shoulda clocked out for the night" Jack mumbled

The two immortals walked back into the briefing room, as they talked quietly amongst their selves.

Methos chuckled as he looked at the Highlander, "Relax Mac, she's fine, i know you miss her just as much as I do."

The younger Immortal nodded, "You're right I do." and they looked towards the general.

"Mac and I should head to China... Well at least to where where the city is located." The oldest Immortal stated.

Hammond thought a second or two, then nodded, "Very well. Col O'Niell is to report to the Pentagon with Teal'c concerning a few things found in the Ancient Databases we've come across." Hammond then looked at them both. "How exactly are you going to get to China from here, the only ships capible of sending you there are on missions. Dialing by stargate is out of the question." he had found out of the contact to the Enterprize and Col Brown the commanding officer on that carrier.
