"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Emma whispered.
"Breath, Emma," Carson instructed.
She took a couple of deep breaths forstalling her stomach's rebellion... "I just can't believe JPJ did that to her."
"Aye," Carson sighed sadly, "It's a bloody wonder she survived it, the poor lass."
"And she did it for Rodney!" Emma said in awe as she plunked herself down on a nearby stool."
"Aye. That she did." Carson said, a hint of pride in his voice.
"Rodney's a lucky man." Emma intoned.
"Och, I agree" Carson checked his watch and realized it had been a while since he last checked on his favorite patient...and her father. He stood up from his own stool and grabbed the datapad Emma had given him earlier.
"Your turn?" Emma nodded towards the walkabout in Carson's hand.
"Aye. And then I think I'll grab a bite to eat, I'm feelin' a wee bit peckish." Carson rubbed his stomach for emphasis.
Emma's response was cut off by a yawn "Think I need coffee." She chuckled.
"Go, caffeinate." Carson nodded his head in the direction of the newly minted staff lounge. "There's a fresh pot" he added.
"You are a god among men!" She proclaimed.
Carson chuckled as the two turned and went their separate ways.
