Hey would y'all be interested in a Favorite TV show Intro tourney? I've been watching Game of Thrones and they have such a great intro. Thought it might be interesting, and I could go on and get something going in a new thread before this tourney ends.

I looked thru my saved spreadsheets (if I ever run out of hard drive space then I'll get rid of stuff ) and we did a theme music tourney way back in 2006 - it's the 1st tourney I made a spreadsheet for . And MF is right - it looks like it was all Sci fi shows.

They seemed to cut the intros from tv shows for a few years but it seems to have made a comeback. We could go with the music or the whole video intro.

Did we not do a show theme tourney a few years ago, LS? I think it was sci fi intros, though. If I recall correctly.

Did we? I've done so many can't recall.

Intro as in pilot? or Intro as in opening credits? or possibly trailer??? Either way, sounds like it could be interesting. I've actually done that with music. Made CDs with just the intro of songs because sometimes the intro is better than the rest of the song.

That one. Opening credits. To even include title cards since that seemed to have been a thing for a while....like LOST or SGU or Supernatural.

Apparently he just limited it to the theme music, but I would extend it to include the visuals. Basically the opening intro as a whole to be voted on...with links posted of course. Though obviously you could just nom something because you like the music or only the visuals or both. And it wouldn't just be limited to sci-fi/fantasy...everything would qualify, even cartoons/animated.

As to the tv intro tourney. I've been thinking about how to include multiple entries for one show...like say Babylon 5 for example....which I'm betting will be Nak's 1st vote - was reading through that other thread Anyway it did new title sequences every season.

I'm thinking the show is just nominated the one time, but out beside it I'll put up links to the suggest seasons that people would like to be included when considering the show. Would that work for people rather than voting on individual seasons? That way more shows could get in. Comments?

You mentioned you couldn't find any intro YT (?) for Angel? Not sure if there was more than one Angel, but I found this for the spin off for the Buffy series? If there's another, could you give me the names of anyone in it? There were verious season opening themes for that show.

I like Season 6 best so far.

I like Season 6 best so far.

Thanks. I couldn't even find that 1st season one but then it was only a cursory search to see what was out there.

Thing is there is no S6. That's fan made but it is sort of a compilation with most of it, including those graphics, being from S5 which is my favorite visual wise of the intros. The music never changed.
