I ran across this several days ago...Top 100 TV Shows of the Past 20 Years.

Here a list, there a list, everywhere a list list. Who doesn't like lists?

So I decided to go straight for the top 25 to see what kind of tastes this person has. Now I know why I don't visit this site. I wouldn't put most of those on my list of top whatever much less top 25. While I wouldn't put Simpsons, or Friends in that group I can understand why people would and then I would probably have XF (1st 7 yrs) on the list.

Then I started at #100 and went thru about 30 before I quit. I think this must be most popular because Big Brother/Survior/Real World etc belong on the bottom list not anything quality related.

Eh, a bunch of that stuff I've never watched and some I have but would not put in a top 50/100. But I do love Seinfeld though. Not sure I'd put it first though.

I couldn't figure out what song those lyrics with a twist came from, then I realised it was Old MacDonald Had a List... He probably did have an inventory of all the animals on his farm. It's the only way to be sure.

Ha Ha! Thanks for the laugh, I like that.

I was a masochist and looked thru the whole list. Unless I went to fast, it seems they left out alot. I didn't see Farscape or Stargate, Quantum Leap, Northern Exposure, Alien Nation, Sliders. I don't remember seeing ER on there either and while I haven't watched the show in a several years, the 1st few years were great tv. That reminds of L.A. Law, and even the Law and Order shows are better than the stuff on the list (gone downhill in the last few years but used to be really good)

Edit: Wings - how could I forget that show. Didn't like the last couple years but the 1st 4 were possibly top 10 material. And they do get minor points for having Sports Night on the list at all considering what they left out although I'd move to possibly top 10 also.

ER was on there somewhere. I do remember seeing it...I think. And yeah I loved Wings. I'm not really a sitcom person. Especially not these days as I don't watch any current sitcoms, but Wings was a good one.

I like your list Except for Farscape (never saw it) I am/was a big fan of all the rest!
