It's actually pretty nice. I sampled a few tracks and considered buying it.
Though there are a few mistakes, like the spelling of Jayne as 'Jane' etc.

I bought the Soundtrack at Barnes and Noble Thursady. I love it. The music is so nice and Shiney. Except that they misspelled Jayne as Jane. Which didn't annoy me much. I found it funny and remembered River's comment in the Firefly about Jayne being a girls name. Heh.

Mines on order. I loved the Serenity musc - not as much as the "Firefly" music, but its still really good.

I liked the music, but it sounded too much like The Phantom music for me to love it. I understand that some composers like to use the same type of sound, John Williams does it all the time, but David Newman disappointed me a bit that with so few movies under his belt he couldn't come up with something a bit more original.

Kinda off topic, but has any got the Firefly Soundtrack yet? I actually think I will like it better than the Serenity soundtrack. I prefer the series music (Greg Edmonson) better than David Newman.

I do like the Firefly music better than the Serenity music, but they're both good.
I ordered my Firefly soundtrack from Amazon.com, and it shipped a couple of days ago. It'll be here at the start of December.

I hope to get this soon. I just rewatched the film and well...I love the score, in particular the track which accompanies the Serenity when we first see her.

When you say music, do you mean soundtrack? If so, yes, it went on sale November 8th. I picked it up at Walmart and it's wonderful.

i downloaded a few tracks from the album- i love them. its so original im not going to buy the album though, i think most of its incidental music. its a shame theyre so short!
