The Constructive Criticism Thread

Just like the title suggests, post constructive criticisms about the show here.

Here's how it works:

1) Specify whatever you perceive as a problem on the show;

2) Suggest a solution or workaround;

3) Don't try to prove other posters wrong. Just opinions here;

4) Be a sport.

Example:

SGU is too dark. TPTB should turn on the lights while filming the show.

Hopefully, the mods will see this thread for what it is, an attempt to bring unhappy or discouraged Stargate fans into the SGU fold.

To attract more people they could transform SG into porn but this forum is PG13 ( i think so no details ) but still this could kill a big part of the old fans and would make me stop watching SGU but they will have bigger sales

Was there a debate somewhere? TJ > Wray (100% agree). Not that either are my type, but I agree.

More efforts towards doing work, towards a goal, that benefits "ALL". Not just each every individual. Every man women and child for themselves (i.e. Hurricane Katrina). We've been there, we've done that, we don't necessarily like ANY of that. Content that makes at least someone happy. And not just the bitter old men (like me)...... They all died? (about time, what where they waiting for?).

• Reduce the use of the communication stones to visit Earth. Those scenes are the least well received (Life & Earth are good examples).
• Don't waste the potential of interesting story arcs: Rush being stranded & Eli/Scott/Chloe being stranded could have been interesting but it was resolved in the following episode which was a bit of a disappointment. Also they kinda wasted a good opportunity with crossing the void between Galaxies.
• Find a perfect balance between the action & drama. There were times where to me it was like "Oh by the way guys sorry to interrupt but were being attacked by aliens!"
• Don't leave out an important part of an episode. For example in 'Sabotage' I assumed we would see the sabotage being done or see more in James realisation that she done it. To me it was like again "Oh by the way James done it" with little explanation behind it.
• Utilise the Stargate more or lose 'Stargate' from the title.
