Um. I'm 30something, I live in Wales with my partners and our ever-growing collection of pets. I love to bake, I'm pretty sarcastic and will happily call myself a geek and a hopeless romanticsigpic

But I use the BBQ year round to avoid getting that slimy grease coating on the range hood and walls in the kitchen. It's just not practical to argue with a charcoal grill in the winter months.

Even with an exhaust fan over the stove, over time, continual frying/broiling/etc leaves a thin film of grease on the range hood and walls around the stove/oven. With my screwed up arms, it is very difficult and somewhat painful to clean that.
It is better to just avoid making the mess in the first place.
