Hi gang. New guy on the block here. I've been a "Stargate" fan from the start of "SG-1" and have loved all the SG series (my favorite might be Atlantis). I'm also a big Trek fan and general Sci-Fi geek, collector, podcaster, juggler, and all around cool cat. Hope to contribute to the forum in new and fun ways and looking forward to getting know some of you better.

Hi everybody
I’m a bit new at this so please feel free to point me in the right direction if I get a little lost. I have been a Stargate fan for what seems like forever and a sci-fi fan even longer than that. At the moment I am doing a little academic TV research into fandom as part of my degree. Sci-fi fans are the best fan. So I thought I would start here, with the best. I am hoping to gain a greater understanding of the cultural influence of fandom and sci-fi, specifically Stargate SG-1. The show has a history of interaction with its fans, episodes such as ‘Citizen Joe’ in season 8 went as far as giving the fans a voice within the show. I am eager to get to know everyone a bit better and maybe to circulate a survey to help with my research; do you think this would be something people will be interested in?
