Hi, I am brand new here and glad I found this forum. I have become a huge Stargate fan, believe it or not because I starting watching the old shows on cable and am now hooked. This is going to be fun.
I was a Star Trek TNG freak and finally found something comparable.

Hello all! Got started watching Stargate as just something to have on the tv in the background while doing stuff around the house (Food Network, Comedy Central, and SciFi are all in the rotation). Happened to notice Jewel Staite in an SGA ep, and started paying attention-I'm a big Firefly fan. Turns out my best friend is a HUGE SG-1 fan (she owns all 10 seasons). I turned her on to Firefly, and she got me into SG-1. And here I am! I've seen most of the SGA eps, and am currently working on season 9 of SG-1.

Been watching SG1 and Atlantis since it started and only discovered this site by accidnet and think it rocks. Plus had no idea about Stargate Universe man I hope we get it soon.

I'm from Lincoln in England
I have been a fan since The Stargate film 1995? and watched SG1 since the start (when we eventually got it in England, that is)
I live with my partner and 12 cats (2 moggies, 1 persian and 9 Maine Coons)
The cat in my profile pic is called DrDaniel Jackson, So I thought he would be rather apt to use.
Hope to make some fellow SG1 Buddies here.
I have one already, who introduced me to this site and I'm pleased she did )

Yeah, I'm the opposite of that really. I started thinking SG-1 was dying out in season 7 and 8. Though I loved Prometheus Unbound. And then seasons 9 and 10 just brought back a whole new life to it for me. And brought my favorite charactor, Daniel, back to life again too. *shrugs* But that's just me. lol I have nothing against anyone else's opinion. To each their own, just sharing mine. *smiles*

I agree with that. By S8 it was just kinda like, yeah, this isn't quite as good anymore, but then I saw Avalon (and I had no idea it was the first ep of the season, I didn't even know what season it was!) and I was suddenly like, hey, this is really cool. Loved the King Arthur mythology they brought in. So anyway, I liked S9 and 10 a lot too.

My name's Mariantonia (my friends usually call me "Mary") and I'm italian, so my english isn't very good. I'm sorry but I hope you understand my post
I'm 18 and I've been following Stargate Sg1 since I was 11. I started with the 4th season, and then I bought all Sg1's seasons on DVD, but I can't watch Atlantis.
I simply love Stargate Sg1 (and its male cast). Also I'm interested in Astronomy, motorbike, music... a bit of everything.
I'm very happy to join Gateworld!
