I should have been more specific: did the actual privilege of being able to upload avatars been changed? The avatar i have is a custom one i uploaded once i hit the post number for that privilege. Did they stop allowing people to do that? Or is that privilege still available once you hit the number of posts needed?

Yes, it's still allowed. As far as I know, anyway.

That's what I thought.

However, i don't know the new number of posts required to reach that privilege. I know awhile ago, it was 1,800. It might be 2,000 but i've heard that number "unofficially."

Hi someone help me out please

I'm trying to put links on my signature, I know how to do it, but is there a way to make the link read something other than the actual URL. Like say I want to post a link to a thread I have, can I make it read the name of the thread instead of the actual URL? So someone will click on the name of the thread as the link.

yep. just take the url or the img (in tags), highlight it, click the link button, and type the url

now my signature is pimped out i think i will add pics for all my links if i have space for it.

You're actually quite a way over the sig limit already - which is 700x200 pixels & 54kb maximum in total (ie. including text). You might want to shrink the pictures down, or hide them in spoiler tags, before a mod comes along with the scissors of doom.
