    Post SGA - James Tichenor updates Blog

    James Tichenor, who was the SFX Supervisor for "Stargate SG-1" for seven seasons, and has returned to work on the second season of "Stargate Atlantis" has updated his web blog today to discuss how they are creating an in house visual effects department:

    So glad Jimmy T. is back in the Stargate family. I've missed him. Interesting stuff - especially the bit about BSG kicking Stargate's ass in the vfx department. Actually I think Stargate - especially Atlantis - holds up pretty well in that comparison.

    I'd love it if the other departments are inspired to rise to the challenge like Jimmy T. is.

    A little competition is good for the viewers.
