The kids love Elmo best, we have to use him sparingly or we'd never get anything done !
CM & Ernie are my faves though, & like many others, The Count....cos I love to count....One, one lovely episode of Stargate! Two! Two lovely episodes of Stargate! Three....ok, stopping now

Any Dave Chappelle fans here? His take on Sesame Street is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! It's on his 2nd stand up special if you're interested. He also did a skit on his show in the second season that mocked Sesame Street that had me in tears...

But I'd say my favorites were always the Count, Ernie, the Cookie Monster, that guy with the REAL big nose (edit: it's Grover ) that had the book were he tried to stop you from getting to the end (was one of my favorite books when I was a tot ) and Oscar. I really hate Big Bird though, never did like em .

I loved Snuffy back when only Big Bird ever saw him. But I've heard recently that EVERYONE sees him now and that kinda spoils the fun, IMO.

Grover was brilliant. Who could NOT love Grover?

Oscar, of course, was a monster near and dear to my heart. He served as a bit of a role model to me.

Elmo wasn't around when I was growing up, but he's kinda cute, in a reddish, high-pitched sort of way. I saw him guest on a cooking show once and to this day I can't hear the word "sauté" without picturing Elmo hopping up and down saying "Sauté!!"

Kermit and his Muppetone News broadcasts were also among my favorites.

                  I have just the one...
Obviously you haven't seen my work in the Sam/Thor ship thread or the Maj Sheppard thunk thread... I advocate both the sublime and the ridiculous...

Actually we haven't seen Sesame St for a couple of months now... must be suffering from withdrawals...

I loved him. I remember one skit where Oscar sent him up in a hot air balloon.

Ernie's song 'Don't want to live on the Moon' was sweet. *sheepish* I think I have that song somewhere.

                              Just found this one here:
40 years ago (I was 16 then) we could watch the original Sesame Street in Germany on the third channel (there were only three then), it was the only chance to really listen to the English language and it was great.
                              My favourites were:
                              Cookie
                              Asker (Oscar)
The German version well I don't know I think it's not as good as the original.
                              CARPE DIEM
                              ANJA
