The tabletop RPG is called Stargate SG-1 : Phoenix from Wyvern Gaming. It will be published in 2021.
The previous tabletop RPG was released by AEG and it had 4 books (rulebook + Goa'uld + season 1 + season 2).
They have also planned an MMORPG called Stargate : Worlds, but it was cancelled after the negotiations between MGM and the small developer studio called Cheyenne Mountain.

I remember I have collected concept arts for SG:W. They were planning new Jaffa guards, new Asgard drones and so much more. Even the planet Lucia (homeworld of the Lucian Alliance) was established here which could have helped to understand the events of season 9 and 10. This game was meant to be the third, "digital leg" of the franchise before the arrival of the SG:U show where interactive storytelling and crossovers were also planned between the game and the live action shows. I hope some ideas can be built into the 4th series if it is based in the Milky Way.

Here you can read more about the main story of Stargate : Worlds :

The SG games were all cursed or something. The Stargate Alliance was cancelled, then the Stargate : Worlds which was turned into Stargate : Resistance. Then we had the Stargate SG-1 : Unleashed episode 1-2 which feels like a lost episode of SG-1 as all main actors have returned. It is worth of watching it as a game movie.

SG-1 The Alliance got cancelled because of a dispute about who owned the rights to the game, and I also think I read somewhere that MGM's pending bankruptcy had something to do with it.

Stargate Worlds was apparently cancelled because of fraud committed by one of the bosses of the publisher and/or developer (Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment was the developer and FireSky the publisher, I believe). It was also not turned into Stargate Resistance, SGR was in development long before Worlds would be cancelled as a side project, it was apparently meant to attract more attention and I believe to help fund Worlds a bit more. I also now believe that it was a project doomed to fail from the start, as making an MMO would be too big an endeavor, even more so for startups with largely inexperienced developers, based on a rather niche IP. Not only would it be so much more expensive and time consuming, it would be extremely costly in maintenance as servers have to be kept online 24/7 and the game has to remain in development indefinitely; an MMO is never finished.

For Unleashed, the developer mysteriously disappeared without a trace, literally. One day they were just gone, and shortly after that the games were pulled from the app stores. Again, I now believe it would also not attract the attention it would have needed. Like how an MMO would be too big and costly, and largely unfitting for a franchise like Stargate, a mobile game would be too small and limited to achieve a similar look and feel as the shows.

Now that I'm more mature and experienced with game development, I believe that it's not really a "curse" but more of a developer's lack of experience or their feel for the show, coupled with MGM's incompetence in managing licensing. Basically, The Alliance was a first-person shooter of the likes of Call of Duty, it would've failed to bring Stargate's sense of exploration and mystery (though out of all of the games developed since, it could still have been the most successful). Worlds and Unleashed I mentioned above.

I think to make a successful video game is to have MGM properly invest in the license and look for experienced developers or at least people who are adequately invested in Stargate and understand the needs, while providing a suitable budget. This is something MGM should do with Stargate in general of course. Especially today there's plenty of people around, myself included, that have the energy, investment, and skills to do something, they're just lacking the cohesion of a development studio, the funds, and the license of course.

I became a huge fan of Mass Effect precisely because the games have so much in common with Stargate. Not necessarily in terms of the setting, but in terms of the writing, the humor, the character development, and the combination of combat, exploration, mystery, and social interaction. Take most of the gameplay, the RPG elements, and writing style, put that in the Stargate universe, and you've got a recipe for success. It just requires a considerable budget, experienced game developers, artists, and writers, and long-term investment (both financial and personal). Realistically however, I just don't see MGM caring that much.

Now that IO Interactive (developers of the Hitman series) are developing a new full and original James Bond video game, in cooperation with MGM, I see just a little more of a chance, especially because Stargate is wholly owned by MGM while James Bond is co-owned with Danjaq. But a little more of nothing is still nothing, so I'm not holding my breath.

There's some of us out there still holding the torch with play-by-post forum based RPG! Stargate Vedas link below, we're a couple of episodes into our third season after a 2 year in-game time skip for our characters. Great time to join up!

We're geared around Hindu mythology as an expedition exploring the Vedas Galaxy and in the middle of conflict between the Asuras and the Devas and have a shared-world link to Stargate: Delta. Lots of possible positions open on base!

I would surely not mind a RPG in the world and lore of Stargate, there are too few sci-fi video games out there anyway and those that exist are often shooters.
It wouldn't need to be open world for me though as, as much as I like those, they sometimes get boring, if there is not enough or only rather useless stuff to do...useless meaning not gaining anything that is useful for other quests or such from doing those, other than maybe XP. Huge open world games can easily feel like a balloon to me.
So I would favor something that is more like Darksiders 2 or Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen over something as huge as Skyrim

Could be tricky though due to the rights' management

            Good luck with your petition

I would be happier with a working FPS game where every fan could add new worlds as "levels". Stargate Network looks promising, just the development is going really slooooooow.
