A staple in TV and movies from the 1950's to the present, John Saxon was in many sci-fi and horror productions. He passed away yesterday at the age of 83.
In 1974 he starred in Planet Earth, a pilot by Gene Roddenberry where he played a character named Dylan Hunt who was in suspended animation and awakens to find Earth ruled by women (and men are called Dinks). Some elements, such as the character name and the character waking up in the future, ended up being used in Andromeda.
Saxon was in several horror movies, including A Nightmare on Elm Street and Blood Beach.
Saxon was very interested in martial arts and was in Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee.
