    Dispatches from Elsewhere

I read a few mixed reviews of this new series, which I would say has fantasy elements. I decided to try it out and wasn't disappointed.

The first half-hour of the first episode is a little slow, so stick with it. After that, the show is at times odd, funny, sweet and sometimes you just scratch your head and wonder what is going on. The only series I could possibly compare it to are Twin Peaks and The Lost Room, mainly because those two series were also very unconventional.

It's got Jason Segal (How I Met Your Mother), who is one of the creators, writers & directors of the series, Sally Field and Richard E. Grant (great British character actor).

I've seen all of the 8 episodes that have aired so far, just 2 left to go.

It's inspired by "The Institute," a 2013 documentary, which I won't go into, because I haven't seen it and I don't want to get into spoilers.
