With regards to Laurel Lance...

Two weeks ago, we met Alex Kingston at Brussels Comic Con, who played the mother of the Lance sisters in Arrow. There was a photo of Ma Lance and Laurel, and my sister and I gave it one look, looked at each other and completely blanked on Laurel's name. We knew Sarah was wrong but we just couldn't remember the other name.

Hours later, when Alex was announced at her Q&A, they mentioned Laurel and Sarah Lance, and my sister and I at the same time, "Laurel... of course."

[Annoyed]

Kingston does get around, doesn't she? She's also got a recurring role as "Miranda Pond" in "Law & Order: SVU.

Is that before or after her stint as River Song on Doctor Who?

After.

"Silence in the Library" aired in 2008, and her first appearance in SVU was the year after, S10E14 "Transitions" in 2009.

It has to be reference to her role in Doctor Who. I won't buy that as a coincidence.
