Usually when episodes star they show what was previously and then have that in the episode or something about it in the episode. In this one it shows Farri son and we dont see anything about him in this episode. Like why was it needed in the previously clips at start of the episode ?

Full episode is slow and boring and then get interesting but thats the end of the episode. So basically we see lots of drama at start of next episode too and as the trailer show lots of action too or we seen all the action from that trailer.

And again how did Elron know where Picard is in the Borg cube ? Never mind that, but how did he even get to teleport in there and no notification in bridge ? Every time someone use teleport in Star Trek have always had notification in bridge that someone use it.

And then the Agnes explains how Maddox died like she is medic or something now too. What has robotics anything to do with medics is beyond me. Why dont they even investigate it from medical holograms and so on ? This show is all about present problems and they dont have any surveillance in there ? We already now have cameras in every corner and have little to no privacy what so ever.

So they cant enter the borg cube by make a story cause Picard would be recognized so they need to play it trough by the book and contact federation to get some diplomatic help and yet again there is a women who they talk with. And Raffi sweet talks her to get the diplomatic help. I dont get is star fleet made ony by humans and only women ? We hardly ever see any alien species in this show like there are none in this era and all are from earth or Romulans/Vulcans. Why cant any officer from star fleet be some alien and i would even accept it to be a women but at least we see some other species in this show.

Hugh is happy to see Picard and ask 2 times what Sodsji is about and he just have no time to tell him. even after Hugh show all the helping borg and stuff when they walk trough the big cube.

Now we know she is 37 months old but have implanted memories so detailed that have nightmare dream where she can actually see whats on the table and then look up that there is a window and that shows clues where she was made. Like really ? How does that make any sense to give very valuable information like that when you send her off to spy in enemy territory ? Calling mom sets her to sleep and in dreams she have so much info about some made up story.

This writing is just so bad.

We see Raffi drunk and high when she's talking to her Federation contact. She told her son she was cleaning herself up. Him telling her to leave him and his wife, and future grandchild alone, broke her spirit once more and brought her back to the bottle and the pipe.

Rios playing soccer on the deck. I half expect him to have an entire holographic soccer team hiding somewhere in his ship.

Elnor finding his way onto the cube -- he's a smart kid. No doubt he knows how to circumvent the system, or he had help. Seven, too had help, last week when Rios left that tech-thingy on the transporter console.

Soji's dream is artificial programming so it's quite possible to remember more when the dream is a fabrication made out of zero's and ones, and neural pathways making connections. She's an AI, they learn independantly, and in the dream it was all in the detail, but when the Romulan is leading her through the meditation, she's not dreaming but remembering, filling in the blanks herself.

Besides, she has been in the lab before probably and has seen the skylight with the two moons and the lightning.

Hmmmm not sure how she broke through the borg bulkhead that would of been underneath that wooden floor given the time available and the trouble she had with the wood... plot power I guess! Raffi falling off the wagon was very understandable, and I'm sure her Captain freind is in for a world of trouble in the aftermath of this! Picard stole a person of interest to the Romulans who probably will be classified as a terrorist (not accurate but politically expedient), was implicit in the deaths of at least 3 Romulan soliders! Given that approaching the cube without approval could be viewed as an act of war then that looks like a hell of a dipolmatic crisis. Also that EB who called Picard Locutus I can see either a EB revolt in wake of this or the Cube coming back online which has been hinted at pretty significantly.
A word of advice... there are creatures that live between this dimension and the next, fiendish creatures that feast on the suffering of an entire world to satiate their eternal hunger. Support the Gateworld Cantina or suffer the fate of all who fall into the clutches of the 'Eladrith Ynneas'

That tech thingy needed to be inside of the freecloud so they can teleport out trough the force field as it was amplifier to make a tunnel. Why didnt they use it in the first place just to teleport in or just teleport Maddox out. Why did Rios go to the planet at first place with shuttle and why Seven needed to smugle in that tech thingy ?

I loved this episode! I hate having to wait for the weekends (or whenever I have a day off, usually sometime during the weekend) to watch new eps, I wish I didn't have to work lol.

Loved that scene with Raffi getting Picard the diplomatic credentials he needed.

Loved the part in the meditation room with Narek manipulating Soji into realizing what she was and giving him the location of the planet. He seemed to have really grown to care for her.

Loved the interaction between Picard and Hugh. I hope he and Elnor are OK.

I think it was also that they didn't know where exactly Maddox was being kept and if they transported in unexpectedly security would be on them in a heartbeat. Seven was going in for revenge only, she knew where the lady was and didn't have to go looking for anyone, also, getting out alive probably wasn't high on her list of priorities as long as she got her revenge.

I thought this was one of the better episodes of the show. Picard's reunion with Hugh was genuinely heartwearming, and seeing the Soji storyline has finally progressed to another big step.
"First Weir, then Samantha Carter, and now, you! It's a pity you humans die or get reassigned so easily, or I might have a sense of satisfaction now!"

*You got the touch! You got the poweeeeer!*

                "Arise, Woolseyus Prime."

                "Elizabeth..."

I would like to know why Rios ship have so many EMH like holograms for every task ? We have seen like 3 of them by now do different things. Agnes is synthetics specialist but knows way too much about medical. Agnes is pretty much like Geordi La Forge but we have never seen Picard consulate La Forge anything about medical why someone died or what was wrong for some species or so virus or what ever. He would always talk with the ship doctor and he would for sure investigate it with ship EMH. In here Agnes says some bla bla to Picard and hes fine with it. You must feel terrible and lets just forget about Maddox.

The synths seem to be almost human, so maybe knowing a lot about human biology is necessary, maybe she also has another degree in something other than cybernetics too. I don't really remember if they specifically mentioned anything about it in any of the episodes. I mean Crusher was Data's doctor on TNG. She and some engineering guy put Lore back together. The androids/synths are more than just machines, so I'd imagine some knowledge of human biology is definitely necessary if you're making synths. Picard left Maddox in her care, not the emh doctor's, so he wouldn't have asked the emh and doesn't have any reason to think she'd lie about what happened to Maddox or any reason not to trust her yet. I did think it they dealt with Maddox's death rather quickly, but they also did get the information they wanted from him before he died and Soji's life was in danger, so I can see why they didn't really dwell on it.

I don't know why Rios' ship has so many holograms, I don't think we got much of a history on his ship. Maybe someone programmed it that way to mess with him or thought it would be funny in a nice way so that he was never alone. He'd always have different versions of himself to keep himself company. I personally like the holograms.

I'm pretty sure the only company Rios has, and the only crew too, are his holograms.

Yeah, they are his crew, ones that he can make go away whenever he wants, I don't know if he actually wants them to look like him though, he's seemed annoyed by that before. That's why I suggested that someone else did that (maybe someone that probably cares for him in some way). Like they thought he was vain and/or antisocial and the only person he could get along was himself so they just gave him a holographic crew that looked like him lol. Or maybe the holograms just decided to look like that themselves lol.

LOL, that would have been a great story to tell, though Q probably would've made them all look like himself and made sure they couldn't have been dismissed lol. On the other hand he did grow some more by the end of voyager so maybe he would have settled on making them look like Rios and Rios found a way to not make them permanent.

I do hope there is some mention of Q at some point in the series, even if it's just an offhand comment.

Thought this was another solid episode. It was good to see that Picard actually struggles with this assimilation and return to being human.

Loved Elnor in this episode as well. He's developing well (IMHO).
