In response to the other two responses I got, I know it is a giant wall of text but it needed to be told in full context otherwise it wouldn't have been as good. So sorry that it's a long post... But Yes, he definitely was the perfect man for the job! That son of a bit*h LMAO

And secondly, while I was standing there, the dog licked the powder... And keep in mind at that time, EVERYONE thought it was anthrax... And no one was concerned?? I think about that to this day, and I never could figure out why no one cared!

That poor doggo! Thanks for your replies peoples!!

Really sorry about this misunderstanding.....I'm trying to get the title of this thread changed. I already submitted a request. it's not so much your job being fun, I want the title of the thread to be: Has anybody got any funny job/work stories or fun jobs? Something of that nature....So I'm sure you have a funny story that happened with a co-worker, A not so smart customer.... A funny inside joke...something of that nature.. Just a funny work story... Everyone has one, c'mon @jelgate!

Anything that has to do with something funny with someone or something from work... And it doesn't have to be your current job! Fire away bud!

I'm looking forward to your story!

And I love hearing how dumb people are especially when the tasks are so simple! If you don't mind sharing I would definitely give it a read... If you're not comfortable that's fine. Just know that I would definitely love to read it!

For anyone reading this.... I was so mad at the time that I thought that I was going to kill someone 4 hours standing in place with a 200 lb bag in between my legs covered in an unknown powder that was suspected to be a more potent biological weapon than anthrax only to find out...

It was just an unflavored protein shake...

It doesn't get better than this... Oh, I would have killed that guy, on the spot.

I'll check my PM's later (am at work and about to head into a meeting -- again).

Me and my bois used to get them all in a super long snake, like 50+ of them, and do it in one go. I must say the drivers in the parking lot weren't happy we were blocking the whole damn parkway though.

I've shared some stories from my work as a travel agent in the past. There's one every week or so.

I remember doing that in college. Nothing drove me crazier was the customers who couldn't bother to put the carts back in the cart corrall

What puzzled me the most was the people that went out of their ways to pull their carts over the concrete blocs, and drop 'em in the ditches. There's a special place in hell for such people.

I don't get putting them in the ditches, but I can see locking the wheels in the concrete parking lot barriers.

It prevents them from being blown around by the wind and hitting other cars.

When I first started this job about 1 1/2 years ago I could get enough cart straps to daisy chain together and I could do 50+ carts by myself. Can't do that anymore as my back eventually started complaining about me doing that

trying to push or drag them through accumulating snow and slush is also really fun

Pretty much man, it was a total mess.
The bosses were saying "oh, it's ok", and every actual worker was saying they are screwed for days
Naturally, they tried to call me in to work today.
    They failed.

This reminds me of a part time job I had in Jr. High school at a grocery chain.
This was back in the 70's, when the women's movement was surging forward at a furious pace.

It occurred to me that only the MALE employees were sent out for cart duty, or to load groceries in customer's cars, or for other unpleasant outdoor tasks in January.

I brought this to the attention of the employer, who obviously didn't have a good answer to that question.

I was shown the door shortly thereafter.

This was my first, but certainly not the last exposure to the hypocrisy of women's claims to wanting "equality"
