I was actually kinda of disappointed with this episode. I didn't know it was the episode that John returns, though. I was hoping to see him in action, I was hop it would be the John we last saw who killed Yellow Eyes.

Since it wasn't there was a lot of retreading of old themes between John/Sam and John/Dean.
