What if stargate have 117 symbols.

    3 rings.jpg
What if stargate have has 117 symbols (Chevron) each on the ring as inner, middle and outer ring are total 117 symbols. It allows you travel galaxy to galaxy or going to another side universe.

Uh...Stargates do have 39 chevrons. And they already allow intergalactic and across-the-universe travel.

A little correction : the stargate has got 9 chevrons and 39 glyphs (symbols).

The picture is nice, but we don't need a stargate in stargate. There would be so many other ways to introduce higher / newer version of gate travels in the next spinoffs.

"Never underestimate your audience. They're generally sensitive, intelligent people who respond positively to quality entertainment."

"Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence, has become crucial to our salvation, if we are to be saved at all."

Oh, derp. Yes, you're absolutely right.

"We're in a fire fight, Carter dial home. We will cover you"
"Come on Carter, get a move on. What's the hold-up?"

"I've got to dial 27 symbols to get us home, it takes time you know"
"Almost there Sir, only 3 more to go"

"Damn, not quick enough, they shot her. We're dead"

It was established in SGU that the 9th chevron was the final one. So personally, I don't think that Wright, Malozzi, Cooper and Maulie would have added a 10th one. I believe I saw an interview or a video where someone explains that they needed a bigger prop/battery to get the 9-chevron version of the MW Stargate to actually spin and that adding another chevron would be impossible since the motor/battery that'd make the gate prop spin would end up being too loud when they'd be doing scenes of the MW gate connecting to "X" chevron.

However, on the other perspective, if the producers would eventually decide to introduce a Stargate of a different shape (and if MGM/Syfy would both go for it), then maybe we could've seen a Stargate with more than 9 chevrons.

Plus it wold be ridiculous to introduce a Stargate with more than 9 chevrons anyway, since McKay did blow off Zelenka when he told him that the 9-chevron address in the Atlantis's database could take travelers millions of light years away in the cut scene from "Enemy at the Gate". I could imagine Zelenka and McKay taking about it and ending up having a verbal conflict about X-chevrons address sending travelers BILLIONS of light years away. There is also the question or WHERE the hell would any such address take someone, since we've already done the ship=base thing TWICE.

The only thing it'd make sense for a 4th spin-off by the same folks would be the idea that I mentioned earlier - a different-shaped Stargate, leading SGC to discover a whole new & previously unexplored gate system. One that doesn't need a ZPM on an Icarus-based planet to connect to Stargates of a different Stargate system, which would have been a great start and a great way to introduce new alien/human races.

I'm not familiar with this. Was the scene filmed or was it cut before?

The scene was filmed, but it had to be cut for time. It was supposed to be placed right before the scene in the meeting/conference room. McKay even... well, I'll just let you see the clip for yourself:

Cutting that scene was a mistake. It wasn't the best dialogue, but it really should have stayed in. Even if they'd just slotted it into a random episode sometime before the dreadful Enemy at the Gate.

Agreed. SGA was set up step-by-step. It was Jack who's brain was almost fried when he made the device that gave enough power to the SGC's Stargate to connect to the Asgard world. That was the base for the base of the spinning off SG-1 to SGA. Even before Daniel ascended they had the character focused on finding Atlantis. Then, in SG-1's 7th season they do the entire storyline on SG-1 finding the city, which ends with them finding the Antarctica outpost. Which ends on Daniel revealing that an 8th chevron address is needed to get to the city. So I think they should have done at least one episode where they would set up the existence of a 9-chevron address and the existence of the Icarus project.
