    Subspace communication frequencies

What are the frequencies the federation uses for subspace communication?

I don't think it was ever really specified what frequency range they used.

In First Contact though, when they hear that the fleet has engaged the Borg, Picard tells them to tune into "frequency 1486." But what kind of wavelength (hertz, khz, mhz, etc) that is is never specified.

and by then I imagine that the old standard radio frequencies would've been so obsolete by that point that no starship was set up to communicate under those frequencies, at least not by default anyway although the ability to do so could be enabled as needed
