From today's panel at Star Trek Las Vegas Con:

      #STLV #LowerDecks panel now starting with @MikeMcMahanTM
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...999469568?s=20

McMahan is a #startrek fan. He even has a cat named Riker. #stlv #lowerdecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...629146624?s=20

McMahon is responsible for the @TNG_S8 twitter account. Jordan Hoffman is reading funny tweets from that account.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...875496448?s=20

“What I really wanted to do was write a Star Trek script - a comedic one,” He started the Twitter account when his agent rejected his idea of writing a #StarTrek spec script. #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...050371073?s=20

#stlv #LowerDecks writers join the panel.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...398957056?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

They are nerding out about being in a place with 6000 #StarTrek fans. Outside of the con, no one gets their references. “Hey doesn’t our waiter look like The Traveler?” Falls on deaf ears. #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...309444608?s=20

Lower Decks is my favorite episode of Star Trek. - McMahan #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...835149312?s=20

My mind has been blown by this experience and my writing style has even changed. -Ann Kim #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...039925760?s=20

Ann read Michael Piller’s “Fade In” about the making of #StarTrek Insurrection in one night and came in to work an instant Insurrection expert. #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...180529153?s=20

The show has new class of ships: The California Class and focus is on the USS Cerritos, whose expertise is Second Contact. #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...892308481?s=20

"#StarTrekLowerDecks takes place on the U.S.S. Cerritos... the speciality of the Cerritos is second contact... Second contact, you're showing up to the planet, you're finding all the good places to eat... You're like the Yelp of Starfleet." - @MikeMcMahanTM #STLV
      https://twitter.com/startrekcbs/stat...92870382845952

New characters include @TrondyNewman as Ensign Mariner
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...828056577?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

Mariner is a classic #StarTrek hero who thinks outside the box. Think a little Kirk, a little Riker. But she has been demoted so many times that she is on Lower Decks. She’s bad at taking orders, compared to Ensign Ro. #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...624282624?s=20

Ensign Boimler is played by @JackQuaid92 #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...131181568?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

Boimler is a maverick type spirit. #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...128770561?s=20

Ensign Tendi is voiced by Noel Wells. She is super optimistic and brings joy to any scene. “If the optimism of Starfleet was a person she would be it.” #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...718398464?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

Ensign Rutherford, the engineer who just recently became a cyborg and isn’t used to his implant, is voiced by @eugcordero #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...453577218?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

The actors are so great. We usually take two takes then let them do whatever they want for a third, and often that is the one we use... McMahan #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...813460480?s=20

We are tightening the bootlace so to speak, making TAS more canon than it was before. We have a Cation, Dr. T’ana does not purr and is not friendly. Voiced by Gillian Vigman. #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...148506112?s=20
      [DIGI: With pic]

Commander Ransom is “California Riker”. Voiced by @MrJerryOC #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...923532800?s=20

McMahan: We’re all reading the 50th History and getting a sense of where every series has come from. Each came from a place of passion and this comedic take is his passion. #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...897558016?s=20

The show takes place in 2380 and is in Star Trek canon. The TNG crew is out there in this time period. Our characters are aware of them and are fans of them. #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...612574720?s=20

You can watch an episode of TNG and then an episode of Lower Decks and not feel like it’s two different entities. - McMahan #stlv #LowerDecks.
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...793338880?s=20

Regarding the post-Nemesis uniform design McMahan says he wanted something that looked TNG but different enough that it is recognized as #LowerDecks #stlv
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...228177920?s=20

Fan asks Is that uniform canon? “Look, listen. All I’ll say is if you’re on a California class ship in 2380 you better be wearing that uniform.” - McMahan #stlv #LowerDecks
      https://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status...530314240?s=20

#lowerdecks will premiere next year, no definitive date is announced. #stlv and that concludes the panelhttps://twitter.com/TrekMovie/status/1158095355575037958?s=20

And now also at this article on the CBS website, outlining things that will be on All Access in 2020.

So a 2020 premiere is looking more and more likely! That'll be three Star Trek shows airing in the same year!

None of which are (legally) watchable unless you pay for CBS's streaming service.

Thanks for feedback. It seems only the US and Canada have the trailer from their respective streaming service. CBS all-access is available in a few other countries now.

This is the first time I've never been able to find other versions of a CBS trailer on youtube. I don't know why CBS would care.

CBS/Paramount has always had a tendency to panic regarding their various intellectual properties....including the IP's involved in the Trek-verse....as their recent heavy-handedness with Trek-verse fan films and fan series demonstrates :/

I agree with you in general, but in specifically the case of fan films, I can't blame CBS for what happened... I blame the Axanar folks. :-(

IMO Axanar is at least 100x better than anything being produced by CBS/Paramount but yeah it did seem more like a production that Alec Peters would've been better off pitching to CBS/Paramount

                            Just watched ep. 1.

No spoilers, I loved it to bits. It appeals to my juvenile sense of humour.

Long before you and I were born, others beat these benches with their empty cups,
To the night and its stars, to the here and now with who we are.

Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

heard A lot of bad things about this, and wondered if i should bother watching it, then i remembered the cave man show, i don't remember the name of the show, it was a SHORT lived tv series based on the geiko cave man, i heard how bad it was so i didn't bother trying to watch it then one night i got bored so i decided to give it a try and , rurns out it wasn't too bad, at least not as bad as i thought it would be, today i would give it a 5 it was just ok, didn't hate it, didn't love it, it was just ...eh...ok.., and that is what can be said about this show there are a few smiles to it and a couple of huh's , any way see for your self. this is the premier episode of the show.
