It's recommended. Best Trek show since DS9. Season one is a bit hit and miss but that's the same for every Trek show.

RED ALERT! We've got another new trailer. The beard is back! The old uniforms make a cameo! 7 or 9 is doing her Ronin thing. And we introduce the most hated admiral in Star Trek history haha!

Seriously! For all the money they've spent on this show, they could've gone somewhere a little more upscale than the unwanted bin at the Salvation Army to find Brent Spiner a wig. AND THOSE EYES

Well the first thing I noticed was how puffed out his cheeks are and also what looked like an over-indulgence in the de-aging CGI. My first thought was instantly of the terrible CGI deaging of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen for X-Men III: The Last Stand 13-years ago. I know that Data's an android but he didn't look that..."flat"...."Plasticky". They're the only words I can use to describe it. In fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking that Data's first appearance in that very first trailer was as a totally CGI character recreation and that TPTB had done so just to keep Brent from facing any time in the make-up chair so he could just provide a voice.

I agree. Data kind of upsets me too. Perhaps it's not his final "look"? One could hope to see some more post-effects added

I have no problem with Data. Brent Spiner has aged. I mean he even visibly looked quite a lot different in the movies. The make up this time round make him look more artificial but that is a good thing.

in an interview after NEMESIS came out, he stated he had hoped that DATA was 'killed off' in it. that he couldn't see himself continuing to pull off playing an ageless android 20 years after he fist did so on TNG

and you know if they had done a digital deal like was done with Tarkin and Leia in ROGUE ONE, so many people would be in overload land right now

here is a interesting 'what you may have missed in the video' video

personally, i am hoping the dead guy 7 is hugging in the trailer is Chakotay

                            not long to go now!

I can’t read the plaque in this pic, but apparently it says it’s Admiral Picard’s uniform.

                              https://twitter.com/trekfm/status/11...518474242?s=21

So, I guess that means we’ll get at least one scene or flashback set 20 years before Picard begins. And a very snazzy-looking Admiral’s uniform, too!

And now a close-up plus confirmation that this is Picard’s uniform from 2385, from the official Trek Twitter account:

                                https://twitter.com/startrek/status/...456500225?s=21

(2385 is six years after Nemesis / two years before the destruction of Romulus)

EDIT: And now they've posted a proper link at the official Trek website, with three larger photos.
