Original Agamemnon Omega VFX Model Restoration

    Hi guys,

I followed Adam 'Mojo' Lebowitz? on facebook a while back as he worked at Foundation Imaging back in the day and to this day still posts lots of cool renders and behind the scenes stuff from that era. When I originally followed him it was because he was posting cool restorations of old DS9 ships to show it was possible if Paramount decided to remaster the series on blu-ray (they didn't *sigh*) and I didn't find out until later that he'd originally worked on Babylon 5 too!

And sure enough he's recently posted something really cool from those days on B5. He's restored the original Agamemnon Omega VFX Model and it looks great! He also references a new Omega model done by a Chris Khun who I don't know but if his work impressed Mojo then it must be good! Need to find it!

Here's the pic on facebook, hopefully its viewable to non-followers:

Blake00, since you have been following Mojo have you read anything he has written about what it would take to rebuild all of the effects from scratch for an HD Blu-Ray release of B5? I mean he has restored the original Agamemnon Omega VFX model so how long would it take for other stuff? Just curious because I always hear how we're never going to get a properly done HD Babylon 5 release because of what happened with to all the CG elements, so it would be interesting to know if someone like Mojo has said anything about it.

A guy over at the Babylon project forum knew about Chris Khun's work and sent me the model he made.. no wonder Mojo was impressed, the detail is insane.. can't wait to see a textured version!

Sadly not mate. Although because I'm just a fb follower and not a fb friend of his I miss a LOT of his posts and he posts so many about different things as he's had a huge career over so many great shows and mags.
And yes I always wonder about the same thing!!!
