    Previously I have talked about this idea, but here is a bit longer description.

    A new SG team arrives via the stargate to a sandy planet, what their leader just calls as the "Dune" after his favorite scifi book. The newbies are excited as this is one of the first planet where their Stargate Academy training has allowed them to go offworld. The planet's name looks fitting as there are large earthworms type of predators which hunt for meat. The local stargate has got weird spike decorations on it as according to legends these animals are capable of even swallowing a stargate. The new recruits believe that whole little training was heavily focused about on emergency evacs as the team must escape back through the stargate when one of the larger earthworm will also follow them. Their SG team leader has placed a camera on the local DHD, so he follows the entrance side in real time on their base while he educates the newbies about how the wormhole works that a living person won't show up on the other side until it was not completly merged into the event horizont. They have got a few second timegap to close the Iris while the animal is still going in to the stargate, but it will never materialize on the other side. So the whole cold opening was just to establish this basic Stargate lore rule for the new viewers. The commander of the base is fuming about his education methods as he was endangering the whole base and even his team has got different opinion if this whole off-world visit was just a joke or a threat. What the bold and reckless trainer didn't know that his actions will start an even greater adventure for the Tauri.

    We would learn later that the local stargate system has got a travel safety feature. So the DHD can scan the race of the dialer and it can compare the living conditions on the other side with the other DHD, so if there is any danger the light of 7th chevron will change colour or flashing or if the wormhole is already established then it will stop the wormhole before entering or copy the traveller but it will send it back to the entry site (like Anubis has done it in season 9).

    So anyway what the team doesn't know that the local animals were also considered as intelligent beings so this giant wormhole was saved in the gate system's memory and it was transfered to the "collector" world. This is a new unique location within the gate system which can be reached by nine chevron. We would learn it that this collector world works like an "afterlife" where the different victims of different gate accidents are transfered. Most of these travellers are not just from the local galaxy, but rather the Milky Way and the Pegasus galaxy. Later we would discover that every time somebody "splashed" on the Iris at the SGC or Atlantis' energy shield then the gate system have transferred the travellers into this world instead of letting them die. This way we could introduce a few old enemies as imagine if the Jaffa, Genii or Wraith soldiers are still there. This high level gate function was written by the Nox, who has updated their own stargate protocoll to save them. The gate system is also enough intelligent to not post bombs or explosives there, but the dangerous animals are free to go. So we would see the insects from the episode "Bane" and obviously the above mentioned earthworm type of creature as well. We would learn it later that this world is like a dead-end within the gate systems as no survivors could dial away from there.

    It would be only interesting as one of the main character's motive could be that he or she was considered dead by the SGC and he/she was left behind, but actually he/she has arrived to this unique, almost prison type of world. Or the story could be introduced as his/her partner is lost or maybe even a complete SG team was considered dead. One of the base motto of the SGC is that they don't leave people behind, but maybe it has happened in the past even if they were not aware of it.

    Later our heroes would make a truce with the local troops and they promise to return everyone where they belong. They will discover that this collector world has got a unique gate position as any galaxy can be reached much easier once they have managed to break the mastercode. So even intergalactic travels could be easily maintained if the travelers are transfered through this stargate as it doesn't belong to any known gate system.

    And this is how a new spinoff could start. The location could be an introduction of the "shell ship" which is an Ancient vessel which can jump from stargate to stargate as it has got a self-rebuilding stargate drive and the local DHD on board will also mimicri the gate system. Or it can have a stargate which act likes a "chameleon gate" which also copies the local stargate system and works like a member of it. That is how the team would learn how expanded is the gate systems as they have to fix the ship at first and make a deal with its last passenger etc. Then they could use this "shell ship" to find the Hub the fix the messed up stargate system in the Milky Way which need the Hub in an other galaxy and then the story goes on the SpaceGenie and his little mind games / adventures and how he has moved the whole Hub / Library from some kind of invaders who know just confused the gate system with a massive, galactic wide Attero device which prevents FTL windows in the whole Milky Way galaxy.

    * * *

    The other little idea was still about the Hub / Library. If we would introduce that the Hub is capable of monitoring the physical condition of the travellers in the gate system. We could learn how this wormhole and the copies can cause some genetic degeneration and this is why the Asgard were dangered. Since they have cloned themselves the clones also had this genetic problem and basically the side-effect of the stargate travel was added in their body.

    This discovery would be slightly the opposite what has happened in the first idea. So while some extra features can save travellers, it looks like the interstellar travelling can also cause some damage. If we would have a change to visit the Othala or Ida galaxy where the Lucian Alliance and/or the Vanirs will try to find some Asgard tech, then we could see how the Asgard has adapted their own gate system to the problem. The local stargates are beaming energy signals so some kind of Thor's hammer type of extra device would scan the traveller, then send the signal through the active wormhole and then the beam will transport the travellers on the other side. This is the reason they had to wear their strong exoskeletons as well if they have ever entered the wormhole. The local wormholes are extremely dangerous to unorganic life so they have tried to hold back the Replicators this way to not spread via the stargates and this was the main reason why they have decided to capture the Asgard ships. This "spinoff" would follow the situation in the used-to-be Asgard controlled galaxy as everyone wants to find an important Asgard treasure room and maybe the answer is onboard of the Odysseus. Or some wardrones would be activated by the Vanirs which would go through the stargates to conquest. There could be other VR worlds in the gate memory, there could be some locked alien races which are released now, maybe the Ragnarok was just an acting for the Ori, maybe the Asgard has been on Destiny... There are so many options here why this gate system is unique and how we can use this knowledge. The beaming through the wormhole was also established in the "Quest" so maybe even Merlin has worked together with some Asgards.

      It would be interesting to see if any digital copies are kept in an archieve, because it could be a blessing and a curse at the same time. So imagine if they would like to study the side-effects of wormholes then it would be enough to compare the different results. I mean there could be a story about how the wormholes will have a long-term effect on the human physiology then it mean that those people are in potential danger who were working for SGC. Like SG-1 has gone the most planets, but then what if they will discover that it can cause problems (like accelerating DNA denegeration - cancer). So then they have to search for this archieve if it exist at all, because that could store all the information of gate travellers without a time travel. So SG-1 was "saved" in 1997 then they could compare their own biology with other copies which were also stored years later. If they could have this reference, then they could clearly see if the gate system has got any major change in the living organisms. I know this idea sounds like an ambitious plan, but they should talk about such plots if we would like to investigate the positive or negative side-effect of the gate system. Maybe some safety features were turned off in the Milky Way, while maybe some other races have added more in their own galaxy.

      We also know from the lore that the gate system doesn't make duplicates. So it desintegrates then rebuilds on the other side, but it happens so fast that travellers don't even notice the difference. But then we could play with this plot like in the Ripple Effect. What if a malfunctioning gate wlll send copies after copies, but then they all fall apart after a time.

      Even the Asgards could be "rescued" if they could compare the current Asgard logs with their peak time, when they could use the gate system. What if this one was the big secret what Thor has never shared with Earth. So we could "reprint" some old Asgard travellers to revive the race if there would be a way to put material into the wormhole. I mean even the gate system can not print materials from nothing if we follow the established rules, so maybe there would be an "input" world where the gate system could drain resources to creat life on the arrival side. This idea could also start a long term plot whether that particular world is happy about its draining.

        From other threads :

        I wouldn't mind some stronger back story for the Asgard. I don't want to see that the Vanirs would turn into good guys after everything. I have tried to imagine what could cause the rapid genetic degradation so this is the reason I believe we should study whether the wormhole process can change the DNA of a race. Like a genetic puzzle which is always fixed by the gate system, but soon it or later the process wouldn't be perfect. This anomaly could be accidental or if there is an evil mastermind behind it, maybe it happens directly. So what if the Vanirs wanted to get rid off the cousins, so they have "poisoned" the gate tech such faulty mechanism? At first it was sounding promising as they wanted to prevent the Replicators to use the gate system and all non-biological were killed by wormhole travel as the metal parts were disintegrated with massive radiation. This has made the Asgard vulnerable as even their mobile wardrones were not able to fly through the gates. Later they have modified the local stargate and this is how the exoskeletons were used and why the gate system were using the beaming method. What the Asgard was not aware that the Vanir was manipulating the local gate network and maybe they have released the Replicators on them in the first place. And why would they do such things?

        I also wanted to here a secondary story how the Asgard were so sensitive to these changes as we could discover that there was a point in their history where they have discovered alternate realities and they have cross-bred with Asgards from an other reality as it was an innocent biological accident as a celebration. What they were not aware that this AU reality was the "homereality" of the Vanir, so even if they had descendants together, their genetic makeup has turned vulnerable and their slow genetic degradation was the start how they have split into two groups because of moral reason show to treat the younger races in the Othala galaxy. Vanirs wanted to conquer this reality in a long term war, while they started to eridicate basically themselves with this gate manipulations and the ongoing tech war with the Replicators.

        And this event could have an effect on us when we would learn how some tech scavangers wanted to adapt this gate protocols in the Milky Way system too. Will they able the beam people through the gate? Cab the distance to be modified? So imagine somebody dials the SGC, but they can beam people in any other location on Earth. What if they beam weapons like bombs? What if the DHDs are infected with "scanner" function which would detect the race of the dialer? What if this security protcoll was meant for safe gate travel as the gates woul detect habitable life conditions on the other side and show it on chevrons, but now this function would be turned against other races? So technically what if they modify it that instead of the metal Replicators, the human body can not enter the gate system anymore as the wormholes would kill them? What if somebody set it up that only Unas can use it? Or if this is the way how they want to kill every Jaffa? The status quo of the galaxy would be broken and the new team should find a way how to fix it and repair the gate network.

        * * *
        I believe this franchise should be about the gate system and gate related problems. We can introduce many new galaxies with slightly different gate systems, because why would the Ancients not colonise all the galaxies in the local group? But I think the writers have written themselves into a story telling "corner" with the whole ascension story. So as much as we love ascended beings they could introduce other groups, but I believe the audience wants something more believeable, literally more material enemies who can be defeated with luch, intelligence or morals by the new heroes.

        I have written a few ideas in my fan fiction thread, but here are some gate ideas in a nutshell :

        - Ori galaxy : stargates can be slit up into 9 pieces (like one piece per chevron) which could extend the diameter of the stargates as the pieces would be hold together by some energy cells like it was done at the beachhead gate, so this gate type can make a bigger ring to let pass medium sized ships through the event horizon

        - Othala and Ida galaxy : local DHDs can stand the race of the traveller which was a filter against the Replicators. The wormholes are deadly for organic life, so the Asgards have used exoskeletons (like the Vanirs who have visited Destiny) and they have also installed scanners on the gate like Thor's hammer. So they have discovered that the gate system is much safer for their physiology if the travellers are scanned and transported as energy signale instead of merging into the wormhole. So technically the local travelling is beaming through the stargate (like Arthur inner network in the Quest).
        This technology could be harmful in the wrong hands as the travellers can be locked out from travelling by race, because what if this gate protocol is uploaded to other stargate networks.
        Asgard has also sealed worlds in time dilation fields, so when their Ragnarok event has happened these races (allies or foes) will hunt for technology and the heritage of the Asgard.
        Not to mention the Vanirs and the Lucian Alliance who wants to capture the Odussey as they believe it is the key to a legendary vault of the Asgard.

        - Nox controlled galaxy : they have got "transphase gates" as they like hiding and separating the evolution of the lifeforms. Many worlds were also hided in the Milky Way too, but when the Nox cloudcity is forced to leave the Milky way after a galaxy wide event, these alien worlds would turn into normal phase and this will start some major changes in the status quo.
        Earth will also discover that so called "chameleon gates" are planted in the Milky Way which works like a member of the local gate network, but technically they are just mimicri its function, while they have got superior range above the normal gates. This mysterios race has got long term plans how to conquer the Milky Way galaxy without attention.

        Our heroes will search for the legendary "gate master" and his or her location which will be essentially the cave of infinite knowledge what Athena was looking for. Later we will find out that was the Great Library on Earth which was moved to a distant location. It has got also the "hub" or the observation station of the local stargate network, which will play a key role to fix the damaged stargates and stargate protocolls. The new team will serve this gate master while they try to save the galaxies. They would use an experimental ship which can fold itself into the wormhole through the stargate and it can rebuilt itself on the other side as a combination of the Asgard-Nox-Ancient technology. Their ship could travel only from gate to gate, so it would work differently in comparsion to the jumpers as it uses the "stargate drive". The gate master would be by the way a "space ginn" who is one of the last remaining original local tour guide program which was "living" in the DHD main chrystal and his role was navigate and greet the travellers. They were hunted down by an unknown enemy when they have started to malfunction and then he has locked himself in his station which is essentially our new base. So the new team must earn his trust and they should find together what is going on at the gate systems. But anyway that is a long story.

        So even these ideas could be combined or separated, but simply imagine a much larger stargate universe then the Milky Way and the Pegasus galaxy. You can introduce new playing ground with a new galaxy. Just there must be a logical explanation why is the local stargate network different, who are the major races, what happened with the Ancients, do they know about the Milky Way and especially Earth / Avalon / Tauri, if there are humans etc. And later these isolated galaxies can visit each other, such races and evolutionary ways can clash which would never meet without the gate system. I believe these type of discovery stories could be told interestingly.

        Back to the original question. I would close down the SGC for 8 years if President Hayes was replaced by a new president who hates the program so the SGC was shut down / destroyed. Even the whole Earth could have been cloaked by Atlantis when this step seems to be the only way to save our homeworld under an alien blockaded. Then a new Earth based spinoff could be based why the SGC was moved to the Moon, how the Homeworld Security tries to solve some alien intervention and find out what has happened in the Milky Way while Earth was not active. Anything can be introduced this way in the known galaxies, so the new heroes have to re-discover how the fame of Earth was ruined and how the galaxy has evolved without them.

        So where would you go? To the Ori galaxy, where the naive locals are influenced by treasure hunters? Or the Othala galaxy which was nearly ruined by the bug replicators? Or the Ida galaxy where is a hightech second Asgard stargate system guards the vault with ancient, mythological beasts? Or the Pegasus galaxy where the Wraith civil war has reached its peak with the disappearance of Atlantis? Or shall we stay in the Milky Way galaxy where the gate system and the FTL travel are completly paralysed by an invading alien force? As you can see there are many adventures to tell...

          Here are some bad guys idea :

          1. I would like to see an ecozealot type of race who is obsessed with the protection of evolution and the laws of nature. They would not hesitate to attack such worlds which commits crimes so they would be like ecoterrorists.

          2. I would like to see a race which makes allies with themselves in different realities. This step makes them extremely powerful even if they are technologically just scavengers as they would learn very quickly lots of possible AU scenarios while they support each other.

          3. We would meet a group of time traveller race who jumps back and back and back in time and basically this sect would always rebuilt itself with the latest new information. They are a crazy bunch people who believes the Ancients were created by the humans with a gate accident, so they want to find out when this event will eventually happen. They believe humans have gone back in the past and they were the origin of Ancients (and the Ori), so this is one of the main reason why the Ancients can not interfere with the mortal world as they don't want to break the cycle.

          4. When Atlantis has used the hyperdrive in 5x20 Enemies at the gate (season finale), this jump has caused a massive hole in the flow of the cosmic background radiation (CBR). An advanced race will invade the Milky Way who will turn on a bigger scale of Attero device (from Atlantis 5x11-5x12), so no ships can forge FTL windows. Nobody can fly anywhere anymore including Earth and Lucian Alliance who both blame the other side for this unfortunate event. The gate system is used again and this is the place when we could introduce the self-folding or opening-up stargate technology from the Ori galaxy which still helps the ships to pass through but the Attero device won't block it. This is the reason why those "chamelon gates" show up and then Earth must delete the synchronization method of the gatenetwork while a group of heroes are searching for the hub to fix it in an other galaxy.

          5. I would like to see an aggressive mushroom race which uses mind controlling spores through the stargate. When a safety feature is turned off accidentally the floating spores are capable of flying through the wormholes. Completly worlds will be occupied by floating moss type of forests too.

          6. An ancient race is released from its time prison when the shockwave of the gate synchronization will hit their world from the SG-1 6x18 events. They are extremely annoyed who has dared to interfere with their sleep.

          7. We could meet a weird carnival who goes world to world through the stargates like a circus market. But later we would discover their dark secrets that all those captures alien beasts are slaves.

          8. We could meet a race which hates every humanoid or bilateral symmetrical biological lifeform. They hate symmetry as their body is radial symmetry. So simply.

          9. We could meet an advanced civilazation who is living in a VR world. They can steal and copy items from gate travellers while they are being transferred in the memory of the gate network.

          10. We could meet some giant wardrones who can roll through the stargates. They were released from an Asgard deposit, but now they serve a new master.

          11. We could meet a group of a travelling company, which offers escorted tours via the stargate system. They are not necessarily good or bad, rather annoying enemies as they would make a mess almost everywhere.

          12. We could follow the footsteps of the Goa'uld Athena who has decided to capture some artifacts on Earth then to rebuild her dynasty with Loyal Jaffas. The Jaffas would be torn into groups anyway as there is not enough tretonin for everyone and some Rebel Jaffa are not willing to give up 40-60 years of their life for freedom.

          13. We could follow an outcome of an Asgard experiment (probably by Loki) where they have placed a cloned human on many planets so they are following his direct evolution. This is the part where we would learn the origin of Varro.

          14. We could also clash with a civilization who uses the stargates as a reality show similar to the Runners. They would send androids for different quests, but the androids are not aware they are expendables.

          15. The Ashen would be able to break out their isolation.

          16. An ancient powerful race would return to flood and freeze worlds via the stargate when the gate protocolls are suspended.

          and so goes on.... Most of these could be introduced in any stargate network whichever galaxy you choose. As you can see these ideas are based on moral, biological, cultural or technological issues. You don't need necessarly to introduce all powerul godly races when you are spinning storylines. What is really essential to create believable enemies who can be defeated by the heroes with logical decisions and talents and not just magical hightech stuffs. You have to give them an unique character or a face, a real motivation what do they want to achieve, what technological level they have reached, how much do they know about the gate system, what role have they played in the existing lore, if there is any personal agenda against the new heroes or Earth (or the the new base). Kree.

              Okay, we don't know what BW is planning.

              My original concept was that while the Ori has gained energy from followers, what if the Ancients or any new ascended beings are gaining energy from technology users? So this would be the secret agenda of the new enemy. I am aware of it that the Attero device has made the gate exploded, so this new galactic wide one would be an upgraded version where ships can not open FTL / hyperspace windows, but the gate system is unharmed. The story would progress into that way that our new enemy is from an other galaxy and they want to prevent that anyone can contact them by ships. When Atlantis has flown home with a wormhole jump in the series finale that could alarm this new bad guys that somebody has reached that technological level when they can visit them. They strongly believe these massive jumps causes breaks in the cosmic background radiation like an ozone hole, so this would be the other reason why they force the local MW races to use the stargates instead of flying. This step would also connect the events of the Universe into the existing lore. The twist would be that while they look hostile, their motivations are not necessarily bad or evil. But now everybody would blame the Tauri that they have caused again a mess since nobody can conquer or trade with each other. But this is just my fan fiction idea, not the official canon. I really would like to se how we return to gate related adventures (new gate types, new jumpers etc.), while our enemies would also develop similar technologies. The franchise should be about the gate sytem and not turn it into Star Trek or Star Wars even more.

              The DHD living genie concept was about the controlling chrystals. In my own SG reality, the Furlings were terraformers, so they were modifying planets to their own needs. Their allies were the Blue Chrystals (the race called Unity) which has helped the Ancients to create much longer and safer accurate gate travel. The genie character would be like a living MALP, who can follow the team, but he can't leave the dhds in the beginning. So he could travel through the wormhole from dhd to dhd, but he plays his own mind game with the team. He would be a shapeshifter, but only for such races who have touched the dhd. This idea was originally planned for an other stargate network, where such safety protocolls were integrated that the gate system is scanning the race of the travellers, the it will decide if it is safe to go through (like a flashing 7th symbol changes colour if the other side is deadly or the traveller is sent back from the gate memory to the point of origin). I believe the Ancients were not really meant to kill anyone with their stargate network, so such safety features could exist. Maybe it was removed from the Milky Way and the Pegasus. What would happen if somebidy would reprogram such extra functions that no humans or Jaffas can use the stargates? This is how a safety option would turn into a weapon in the wrong hands.

              The circus thing would have been about the slavery and such intelligent races who are kept as prisoners. They wouldn't be a main enemy, just an annoying company who would make worlds turn against our heroes. Their main goal could be anything like they are working for a Goa'uld who still wants to find a perfect host race. Maybe they would just simply make a mess with searching ruins or stealing tech etc.

              The tour company idea was just an inner joke whether Stargate could work as a workplace comedy. They won't be like postmen from Firefly, but they would offer different packs for tourists as they would visit the worlds through the Stargates. Imagine a possibility when civilians would take over a program instead of military, so they would be allies and enemies at the same time as they would make some troubles to our heroes

              * * *
              Don't forget that our heroes now 40-50-60 years old now as that is the real age of the actors. People would settle down in midlife, so while it would be nice to see their return, they should be portayed as "real" humans not like workalcoholics who haven't got any private life. Like Sam and Jack, Daniel and Vala, Rodney and Jennifer are still together, maybe they have got teenager aged childrens now and maybe they don't want to travel to different planets day by day as they have "retired". Some heroes have got other military or civilian tasks (like working in Area 51 to make more jumper type ships or wardrones, educating at the Homeworld Security in Washington etc.)

              It would be nice to see how China would react to the disappearance of the Asgard. Would they keep the treaty with the SGC. What would prevent them to make more X304 than the USA if they can copy the given technology? What would happen if they decide to bring home their own Stargate with a DHD to Earth? Who could prevent this events? Obviously I don't want to turn them into a second Russian type bad guys, but they won't necessarily follow the rules after the SGC is closed down or suspended for years.

              I was always wondering how people would react if they could visit such worlds which were based on their culture. For example would China trade with Lord Yu's Jaffas on his homeworld (the planet Jade)? Or would they visit China by themselves with tel'tacs? Since we haven't got the Antarctic Chair anymore (it was destroyed in the Atlantis series finale) then any alien race can visit Earth. Such treats could be dealt in a Stargate : Homeworld series as what if more and more alien races will reveal themselves or they were here for the whole time etc. Anything is possible with the right explanation. The universe is infinite.

              * * *
              Maybe not all Rebel Jaffa shares the same vision as Teal'c. Those ones who were forced to be free, maybe they want different goals with their life. Imagine that you could leave 140-160-180 years with a Goa'uld symbiote then you are forced to use tretonin and reduce yours and your children's life expectancyto 70-90 years. So no way they will agree with this even if it sounds idealistic from the writers. They wanted to introduce fractions (Rebel Jaffa vs. Loyal Jaffa) in Stargate : Worlds. Then they have done something similar through season 9 which was heavily focused on Jaffa politics too. But have the Replicators found all the Systemlord? We will never know, maybe some of them can still hide on isolated worlds. And the Stargate : Universe has showed how defenseless we are at the moment in the lore as any cloaked cargoship can land on Earth. So yes, an offworld coalition is still a possibility. But this is just open-spinning, don't take me too seriously

                I always wanted to hear more biology related issues in Stargate. Maybe one of the new hero should be a professional on this science field. Has the Ancients / Nox / Asgard / Furlings brought any animals and plants to other planet from earth? When? How did the local food chain develope and settle around the stargate? Are there herbivores and carnivores? Have they adapted to the local planet (seasons, rotation speed, sun type, athmosphere climate). How have the Ancients created life? Were there "original" lifeforms on planets or have the seeding ships skipped those planets to avoid contamination? Have the Ancients preferred the pine trees? Were planets transformed artifically? Did they use time accelaration? Were there any attempts to rescue animals from other eras of Earth? Can we meet for example giant mammals from the Ice Age or even dinosaurs from previos eras if the Ancients were active for millions of years ago? What was the Nox reaction to this rapid evolution and extinction? etc. So many stories could be told just about evolution...

                They could make a classification of planets :
                - uninhabitable planets
                - planets without stargate with local alien flora and fauna (isolated worlds)
                - planets with stargate with local alien flora and fauna (non isolated worlds)
                - planets with stargate with local alien flora and fauna (isolated worlds - like the Nox hided them in transphase)
                - planets with stargate with Earth based flora and faun (terraformed worlds)
                - planets with stargate with mixed alien and Earth nased flora and worlds (competitive hostile worlds)
                - planets with stargate with mixed alien and Earth nased flora and worlds (competitive adapted worlds)

                etc.

                Then even they could play with such things
                - whether the Earth base flora and fauna are from which era of Earth
                - whether there are artifically engineered races
                - whether the two different evolutionary way create a new common third one (like alien animal adapt to the Earth based plants or the other way)
                - were there life supporting energy shields or domes around the stargate and how they expanded them to the whole planets etc.

                Such little things could explain why the pine trees were the dominant forests on most of the planets. If they could introduce new gate systems in new galaxies in future spinoffs then we could even separete these storylines. I really would like to see some alien landacapes as there are so many interesting form of plants or rocks on Earth : succulents, coralls, mushrooms or even chyrstals. They could create such visually stunning things as the technology reached this level. A standing picture won't be enough for the next generation, so I really would like to see more convincing storytelling and lore expansion how the stargates influenced the sprearing of life.

                * * *

                I mean SG-1 was dealing with mythology based races, Atlantis was mainly focused on technology, the Universe was about exploration and character drama. A new spinoff should have at least 4-6 new main characters. So if one of them could get this science field then his or her storylines could be focused on it. I am a pharmacist, but I am interested in history, geography, nature, genetics, evolution, adaptation etc. I have so much spinoff and story ideas, but I am not a writer so that is theirs job to find out something new and original. I strongly believe that one of the future spinoff should return to the basic gate related scenarios and this is the reason you can expnd the lore even via biology related storylines.

                There are so many extremely rare and unique lifeform on Earth which could be used in a scifi show. I don't expect a David Attenborough type documentaries, but I was thinking they could make an interactive, slightly educational Stargate spinoff where they would place some links at the end of the episode guidelines (like what science subjects or animals or plants were used etc.). It would create a new and original way of learning.

                Just have a look at these... Wow. So even these will be enough a new galaxy where the succulents would be dominant :
                http://www.successlifelounge.com/108...-alien-planet/

                Or there could be some planets or an even an other galaxy where the fungal species are dominant :
                https://www.thephotoargus.com/weird-...ungi-pictures/

                Or there could be underwater coral worlds with stargates or shiny chrystals etc. Only the imagination is normally the limit, but thes are even existing animals and plants. So imagine what if the WWF could sponsor the next Stargate instead of the Air Force.
                "I was hoping for another day. Looks like we just got a whole lot more than that. Let's not waste it."

                  I will save some of my yt comments and thought here.

                  DtG - Will Amazon maintain or reimagining the existing canon?
                  https://youtu.be/OvmELQ_MbDk

                  I wouldn't mind if the reimaging is rather about the goal or atmosphere of future spinoffs. What if the new characters could cover new regions of science which were not enough explored previously? SG-1 was about exploration, ancient cultures and religions, then Atlantis was the clean high-tech show with more horror Wraith elements as a strong contrast then Universe was the character drama with a steampunk feel and further exploration into the unknown. Even the main characters covered a huge area (like Daniel was the history and language expert, Sam was the dual-classed scientist and warrior, Vala was the thief, Teal'c was the honest, slightly naive, but brutal force, O'Neill was the experienced warrior archetype) so they could support each other how to move the story plot forward.

                  1. Then what if we could get a biology related character in the 4th or 5th show then the new focus could be more organic like about climate change, the evolution and adaption of human existense, the different animals and plants if previous geological eras? They could tell stories how ecosystems were built around gates and how the "original" races reacted to such invasive moves.

                  2. Or what if we could get a more educational spinoff where they would teach the audience with built-in informations? For example they could educate us about chrystals, plants, weather, traditions, religions so basically real facts could be part of the fictional stories.

                  3. Or if they could afford more on location or vfx shots then maybe a new show could focus on introducing existing, interesting, but not well-known locations like a travel magazine with a scifi twist? Or if some countries could sponsor some episode to shoot it there? Is it a bold and naive idea?

                  4. Or what if a new SG show could focus more on arts, so they could show and build into stories traditional outfits. I mean so many beautiful cultures exist on Earth, but most of them are never seen by wider audience, so maybe this could be a new evolutionary way.

                  So I would expect something like these as it would a new and unique feel of the future Stargate projects while it could keep the mix of family friendly, comedy, adventure, action, crime or drama. I am sure they will try to please the old and the new audience while they balance out the right ingridients and they will also check the concurrent scifi shows on the streaming market.

                  I also hope the new show and the whole franchise will be supported with more merchandise products : new computer games, new novels, new gifts. I always said maybe Stargate got only the bronze medal next to the StarWars and Star Trek, but it is the shiniest for us. So I really hope they plan ahead with "phase 2" and we get more and more spinoffs, tv events and supporting materials.

                  Beautiful video, David. ... edit. Darren. I like your digital and steampunk discription. I hope we can see many new stargate versions in future spinoffs as they are essential part of the storytelling.

                  You could have mentioned the stargate with the Egytian hieroglyphs on the Stargate movie posters.

                  I wish they could remake the 2x15 Fifth Race scene when O'Neill arrived to Othala. The Asgard should have a stargate with purple chevrons with runes as glyphs. I guess the concept of different stargate networks were not existing at that stage of the lore.

                  And I also hoped we could see the Ori stargates in Ark Of Truth. There is a painting in the palace on Celestis which showed the Ori warriors with a stargate so maybe it is about their crusade or they copied the Ancients. Maybe they found some Universe gates in a distant galaxy, who knows?

                    @ladrok97 Maybe the Ancients shared the technology with their allies as their extensions happened millions ofyears ago. I would like to see a Nox, an Asgard and a Furling controlled network in three new galaxies with local problems and gate features. Maybe some galaxies were experimentals in the Local Group as the Nox believed in natural evolution, Asgard preferred the technological one while the Furlings could have been mass plaet terraformers. So they all created worlds to spread human life in as many environment as possible as some of them believed the future humans ended up in the past to become the Ancients. But this mass plot would be a ripoff from Babylon 5. Or they could talk about organic life vs. enginereeed organic life vs. synthetics just to make a spin on thenMass Effect concept in Stargate. What if the Goa'uld created animal-human hybrid races, but they wanted to destroy these forbidden experiments and then the Nox or the Oannes transported or shielded these worlds in the Milky Way or they brought them to an other galaxy. So many new scenarios can be introduced.

                    I always wanted to see a galaxy where the Oannes rescued / collected animals and plants from different geological eras of Earth as a memento to the Ancients' homeworld in the Milky Way. So it would be like a little Jurassic Park type of feeling with ice age mammals and plants. Don't forget that Ancients are 50+ millions old so they must have seen lots of climate and evolutionary change.

                    Or what if some races hijacked a gate seeder ship and they created their own modified network in a new galaxy which would treaten the Milky Way.

                    * * *

                    I would consider the beachhead gate and the supergate two different version of the supergate. If we count the gates as shirt size, then Orlin's gate is S, normal gate is M, Beachhead gate is L or XL and Supergate is XXL.

                    I would also like to see the hub of the network which could work as a server room or police station and it would have an own 9 chevron code. If MW and P gates have wifi then the U gates must work like bluetooth which see only the closest gates. So what if a new spinoff would be placed in a base where our new team goes to investigate and to fix faulty stargates etc. They would use a new type of ship which can jump and rebuild itself around stargates.

                    I wish we could see an Ori stargate anyway which could extend itself into 9 pieces so the inner diameter could be much larger than normal gate, but smaller than the beachead gate... So This gate type would be the L size which could let al'kesh or tel'tac size ships to pass.

                    It would be cool to discover how to dial secondary gates on the same planet with the usage of the 9th chevron without the 8th chevron. So the normal 7 chevron + the 9th chevron would lock a location within the range of the planet like a mini, local network.

                    I also would like to see "chamelon gates" which mimicris the local network where are they placed in any galaxy. Later we would find out what is the agend a of that race who was capable of such secret operations. And then the hub would also be needed to identify this new ultra-long range stargates and later we would find out it was the cavebof infinite knowledge (= infinite travel distance) what Athena was searching in season 10.

                    Anyway I will stop the brainstorming here. I have got so much ideas, but I need to watch the show and not to write it. I am sure BW will find out something creative.

                    * * *

                    One more thing. They should have introduced the name of the glyphs in spoken languages as it is a bit unbelievable that eerybody drawed them, but they can't pronounce them in daily communications. I mean imagine you are serving a Systemlord who sends you a mission to an other planet. Then how would you dial the gate? Would you follow some kind of old notes on a pergamen? It would sound more realistic if all symbols would have a name / code / number / whatever on the dhd.

                      Could you imagine Peter DeLuise in the 4th Stargate series as a guest star? I had a mini fanction idea that he would turn into a hero similar like the con actors in the Galaxy Quest movie. Some aliens could kidnap him feom Earth as he would be taken instead of Jack or Cameron while he would still be the same replacement actor from Wormhole X-treme who we could see on "200". Or he would be the one who would reveal the real Stargate Program after Martin told him the truth. It would be hilarious to reuse his character (or the whole team) as an insider joke about conspiracy theories as an ongoing show within the show.

                        Oh. I haven't been here for ages. Sometimes I come back to read my own notes and to remind myself how many story and tech ideas were shared here.

                        I was still thinking how I would introduce a Nox centric galaxy where the local gatesystem would be similar to their mentality. If you read this thread then you can roughly follow that in my "canon" the Nox, the Asgard and the Furlings got their own gate system in their own galaxy which were provided by the Ancient. They all follow different philosophy how to care about the younger races as they had millions of years advance in comparison to them. The Nox believed in natural evolution and saving of all life even if they are dangerous, contageous or aggressive, while the Asgard are the technocratas who believed in manipulation of accelarated time bubbles around planets while the Furlings are planetbuilders as master of geology who provide fabricated locations to grow life of younger races and the Ancients provided the connection what all of them needed. When the Ancients became a dying race they believed that the future of the Ancients are the humans who will return to the past from the future so they decided they have to give the most possible way of evolution as any of them can fulfill this potential prophecy.

                        Here are some basic ideas about the "eden galaxy":
                        - the planets would be called as "gardens"
                        - we would learn how some of these gardens were atificially created by the Four Great Races on dead worlds
                        - we would learn more about the expansion of life domes around stargates
                        - the local gates got green chevrons with Nox writing on them
                        - the gatesystem would semi-intelligent as DHD would scan the travellers, while the flashing 7th chevron would show whether the other side is safe for passage or not
                        - the main base would be a "rescue planet" where such travellers end up who were killed by the gate system and then their bodies are copied and sent here. This location is halfway between a prison, a living museum and a weird afterlife limbo
                        - the wormholes are autoamtically disarm any weapons which can not be carried through the gate system as the Nox asked for this feature from the Ancients - this feature will cause lots of trouble when it will be switched off to be able to escape as unwantd visitors will start to use the gate system
                        - we would learn why the Nox left their gardens as some of them descended (opposite of ascension) and they merged with their beloved gardens similar to fairies or spirits
                        - the Nox believed in natural evolution, but they couldn't interfere into such races life who wanted to be conquerors of other planets
                        - we would learn some planets got Earth based ecosystems from different eras of Earth as the Nox rescued many lifeform from the last 50-100 millions of years as they visited Avalon (Earth) many times even after the fall of the Ancients
                        - the conflict wouldn't be simply about organic vs. unorganic life as we would learn it is rather about "original" races vs. "rescued" vs. "mixed" vs. artificial life
                        - we would learn how mixed races were engineered what we know from ancient mythologies - some of them were simply killed after the experiments while others were sent to different planets to give them a chance
                        - the galaxy would be ruled by a few major races races and our new heroes could be on a diplomatic mission to establish peace between the broken fractions instead of hardcore military agenda
                        - we would discover how the Nox protected many planets from the Goa'uld in the Milky Way as they put those planets into a transphase mode and these worlds can be visited only if the gate also turns into the transphase version
                        - we would also learn that a new enemy must have a gate seeding ship as such gates are planted in different galaxies which work like "mimicry gates". They copy the colour and the glyphs of the local gate system and they start to act like part of the local group, but they can not be identified easily. These mimicry gates would have an ultralong range so maybe they were planted as part of the ongoing invasion
                        - the heroes also must find the hub of the gate network which can see every gate activity and it could see the inserted gates while it can also rewrite the local gateprotocolls
