    Saving FanFics

I know several people on here save Fanfiction to their hard drive. I am just wondering what format you save it in or any other tip or trick used to save fics.
I also didn't save anything from Sam and Jack Always and Forever or from Heliopolis websites and I don't remember what I liked on those websites to ask for it specifically. I know about the Wayback Machine but I have a difficult time finding what I want, not that I really know what I want. If anyone is willing to share anything they have saved off of these websites it would be greatly appreciated.
I am only a Probie so I don't have private messaging ability so please don't PM me.

FanFictionDownloader is a popular downloader of fanfics. It supports multiple sites and formats. This is my primary way of saving fics. I download them as an html file. Then I edit the file into my preferred reading format.

ArchiveOfOurOwn (AO3) allows users to download fics as html, epub, mobi, and pdf.

www.samandjack.net has many of fics that were also hosted on Always and Forever and Heliopolis. For saving fics from this site as well as the two defunct ones and Twisting the Hellmouth (which has Stargate xovers with Buffy, the Vampire Slayer), I bring up the printable version of the story and save that as an html file and edit as above.

The Stargate Novel Archive has each hosted fic a one large text file. This archive though has not been updated in nearly 12 years.

No Sam w/o a Jack and no Jack w/o a Sam.

THere's always the good old fashioned copy and paste into a word document, which is one way I saved things.

I did the copy and paste thing, too. I wanted to be able to clean up typos and grammatical errors (so I don't share my copied fic). I wish the owners of Heliopolis had worked with AO3 to archive the stories, but we can't have everything.

I'm usually saving stories in epub because I'm reading on tablet most of the time and I need to change color of background and text.

          http://ficsave.xyz
is great site for saving stories from fanfiction.net
and this site is great for saving and converting any website into whatever format you want.

Anyone know some fic downloader that works with the sites running efiction? Like Symbiotica:

            http://tokra.fandomnet.net/

I can't find a downloader that works - either it only gets the summary and stuff or only a chapter with no summary and things.

Having looked over a sample fic from Symbiotica, I would use the same procedure I outlined above for www.samandjack.net. On Symbiotica just on the top right of the screen just above where you can adjust the size of the text is a printer icon. Click on that and a printable version of the fic, (you can choose for just that chapter or all chapters). You can then save the chapter as an html file or print it to PDF if supported by your browser. Once in PDF format you can then use a program like calibre to convert it to your preferred format.

http://ebook.online-convert.com/ will even convert html files but any images will NOT be included.
